Could be decent backup for Destiny? Similar profile just not as good.
Can you explain how their profiles are similar

I can’t see anything in Sess’s game that reminds me of Destiny and vice versa

Mediocre player that made his name making late runs into the box in the Championship

At this rate I'll be surprised to see him in the squad before the new year. Hopefully he can get fit in time for the January window when we can sell.
At this rate I'll be surprised to see him again at all.

We probably need to find a loan for him. Maybe in Jan we could get him out. We have cover with Davies anyway. Would rather Reguilon than Sess anyway but not sure he will be good enough either.

Hopefully a club in Saudi for £40 million.

No Saudi club is buying Sessegnon, especially not for that price and most certainly not in January.

Like it or not, he's likely going to here until the summer. At that point, depending on how everything has gone with his recovery and performances, the club and Ryan will decide his next move.

Best case, he recovers well from his injury and plays a part in the team Ange is building. Worst case, he finds a new club and we all move on.

I don't know if it is the medical department at Spurs or Sessegnon and his advisors fault, but it was more than 5 months between his last game and his surgery.

Talk about a gamble that didn't pay off.

He seems to have the same muscle issues that plagued Michael Owen. Just need to cut our losses here.

I don't see the value in trying to assign blame when know one here can speak to the exact nature of the surgery/procedure or the entire process outlined for his recovery.

My aim wasn't to assign blame (you can exchange "fault" with "decision" if you like) but that decision set him back a long time.

They obviously believed he would be OK without surgery, but having missed 60+ games prior to this season because of the same hamstring, you can still question why a permanent solution with surgery wasn't done last season.

And do what? No one is going to buy a crocked player and we have a duty of care to the lad while he's under contract.

Is he perma-crocked? I don't know why you brought up his contract - I just said we need to cut our losses. If that means selling at a bargain price or a mutual termination if no bidders step up doesn't really matter. If he doesn't accept our termination offer then he will end up like Rose with the U18s. I doubt he would do that at his age though.

Tbh I don’t see why he’d agree to a mutual termination if he’s injured. He will know nobody will go near him until he’s fully fit and dealing with an injury by himself is hardly going to be appealing. As for selling him no team in their right mind would pay anything for him with his recent injury history. Best case scenario is he gets fit enough for a loan come Jan and can stay injury free for half a season but im skeptical.
