Likely to be around £10m.Be interesting to see what fee we may get if he does leave, and also who Paratici has in mind to replace him.

Yet he's been our most consistent defender all season.Agree with all this. Ultimately, it's his lack of consistency that's too much of an issue, IMO. He was capable of putting in some 8, 9, or 10 out of 10 performances from time to time, but equally or more likely to put in a 1, 2, or 3 out of 10 performance. This is true, but to a bit of a lesser extent, of a number of out defenders. One key way for us to improve next season will be getting in some defenders with a higher floor on performance.
But as you say, he should definitely be respected for making himself available for the team after suffering unspeakable tragedy. And, I think he improved as a player in his time here, even having some stretches where he was arguable our best player over a month. But, then the consistency issue would hit and he'd fall apart. Hope we can get a decent fee and he can find himself in a situation where he's happy, but I won't be too sad that I won't see his name on a team sheet again.

Yeah but as I said our other defenders have made way more errors than that which has cost us CL football. He certainly does have many positive qualities. Still way too rash and unpredictable IMO. Eg giving away the completely unnecessary pen against Leicester, the freekick which resulted in Citeh’s winning goal in the LC final etc etc.

If he does go I imagine we will keep Tanganga so reinvesting in someone like Djed Spence from Middlesbrough would be an option plus an interesting option would be to convert Berwijn to a wing back if we play back 3. Should think there will also be question marks on keeping Doherty
NoWill this be a new Trippier exit? Like how we all said he was not good enough, then we got stuck with Aurier and Doherty?
Now Aurier will leave and we will have Doherty and hope for another upgrade, like that time with Trippier...... Just saying
Although Doherty has not been very good - if the new manager is looking to play WBs, it would be interesting to see how he does in a role similar to what he had at Wolves. Still big question marks about his complete lack of pace though IMO.
Pretty annoyed it seems like the club is happy to keep him around and just use the reasoning that it was only one year. Sell him while he still maintains some value. That's how you get stuck with these guys when they suck for multiple years.Lets be honest he needs to be moved on too
I understand your sentiment- but what if the new manager and DOF really like him?Pretty annoyed it seems like the club is happy to keep him around and just use the reasoning that it was only one year. I'd be shocked how anyone could rate Doherty after last year.I understand your sentiment- but what if the new manager and DOF really like him?
I know Serge has said he wants out- but anew manager n all- I dunno just talking
I don't think Poch ever liked Serge. With PSG close to confirming Hakimi, I don't think Serge will find his way back to Paris. Unless, PSG are completely revamping their RB options and want Serge as the back-up RB.
Poch worked with Aurier so he would know he's absolutely useless and a liabilityI don't think Poch ever liked Serge.
