Did you notice Harry Kane setting an all time club record there?

Eat your liver like a good chap.

Yeah I and unlike you I can admit when I make a mistake. You just can't see the truth with Trippier's cock and balls permanently lodged down your throat.

Its funny and sad equally

Personally thought he was pretty poor, the first half in particular. Kept on selling himself and kept getting himself on the wrong side

He was the worst player on the pitch in the first half, to be fair to him the 2nd half was much better...but still, some are really trying to polish a turd here.

Defensive stats are pretty similar, one game was away to Dortmund when we were 3-0 up from the first leg, one was at Home to Arsenal where we were behind after 15 minutes. Stands to reason we would be passing less. You realise you're trying to disprove people saying he had a "good" performance right not "Maldini esque masterclass".

Go back to the Trippier thread and cry about people having an agenda about a particular player instead of posting in here with 0 sense of irony.

.....and???

Arsenal = 1 goal
Dortmund = 0 goal

He's a better player. He needs a run of games, been saying it since last season

The point is, one performance has been lauded and the other critiqued, which is fucking stupid and obviously biased.

Don't try and dress one half of football in a 3-0 aggregate 2nd leg up as some kind of fantastic performance.

He was one of our worst players this evening.

Well i dont think he was turd, i think they overloaded against him and clearly targeted him. He had two or three players in his area at any one time, he isnt going to stop that

Who's saying fantastic :ROFLMAO:, saying he was one of the worst players is ridiculous in such a terrific defensive team performance. Everybody had at the minimum a good game.

I hate stats

The context is - Arse game was at home where Arse sat back for the most part. Dortmund game tonight, against a superior team to Arse, away game, where the opposition was always going to hammer us from the get go...

Come on dude - do better please.

skimmed thru the game but 20 minutes in Aurier let Reus play a give and go and get a shot just inside the box that Lloris had to save. Aurier was just trotting a few yards behind him like he was out for a jog. Maddening.

I would count a key pass as the one that went on Lamela head 4 yards out from goal

We need to improve our full backs but airier was decent last night. He deserves a little run in the side. I don't think he has played 4 games in a row.

Once again thought Aurier was poor, but still better than Trippier.

Don't get why he has to rush into so many challenges leaving the gap right open behind him. Makes absoultely zero sence when you have no possibility of getting to the ball first.

Just watched 1st half again and thought he actually played well. Just because a lot came down the right I wouldn’t judge him on that. I also wouldn’t totally exonerate Alderweireld for the fact they got in a lot down the fight. But in all honesty bar that 2-3 corner spell where Lloris made the worldie save we pretty much had it under control.

So frustrating as I genuinely believe he has a lot of talent, but his positional sense is appalling at times; the amount of times he is the wrong side of an attacker is ridiculous.

If he can assist and deliver in the recruitment of Rabiot, I'd leave him and KWP as the RBs next year.

He’s better than trippier but let’s face facts, neither are good enough for a team challenging for the league. Both need moving on and a top class replacement brought in with the cash.

I think the problem with fan's perception of all the FBs is that they are all absolutely adequate players for the general standard and standing of team and club, but not one is much better than that.

Playing FB in the system of Poch is an utterly demanding task and only really, really unforgettable FBs, of which there are only a handful at a time, can carry out the position in the way Pochettino wants and to the level fans would like. Issue for us though, is that we only have adequate FBs, but not even one FB that's better than fully acceptable.

When you have four players that are fit for rotation, and not even one of the quality of a class act (apart from Vertonghen, who doesn't play there), as fans you get frustrated with each and every one of them. In reality, I think we are lucky with the fact that we have sourced those four FBs that we do have. It could have been much worse. And I don't fully agree with the general fans frustration surrounding those positions. However, it would be sweet to land an actual, tangible upgrade. Question is though, who would that be?

The one that Pulisic headed out that didn't actually make it to Lamela's head?

That's not a key pass, that's an incomplete cross.
