Yeah. Of all the players we're trying to offload I thought Regi would be the easiest one to get a fee for this summer.

Still got 3 years left on his contract so we can get decent money next summer, but considering some of the dross other PL clubs are overpaying for this summer you'd think 30m for Reguilon would be doable this window.
Rinse and repeat next summer unfortunately, most of these players will end up out on loan until they leave on free transfers.

I think that will very likely be the case with Tanguy as his wages are way too big but reckon we'll get fees for some of the others like Lo Celso, Reguilon and Gil if we sell him. We could've sold Lo Celso for a fee this summer if we wanted (think Villareal offered around 14m or so?) so there's no reason to let them run down their contracts, but we'll probably have to accept lower fees than we'd like.

All these guys are on long-ish deals so I suspect we're hedging our bets for the time being and getting loan fees and wages covered with the intention of selling down the line once clubs have recovered or we get a decent bid from somewhere.

I was soooo excited when we signed Reggie. I thought he was going to be one of the best LB in the prem and would be part of our back line for years. I also thought he would thrive as a LWB given his delivery. Weird how things work out and A Madrid would be a great move for him - albeit R Madrid is his boyhood club!

Need to get some cash in for either him or Winks. All these loans without obligations are becoming a bad joke.
Do we need the money now though? We've spent well and as long as the loans cover a good amount of wages I don't think it matters. We may also get a better fee next summer if the loan works out and they do better than they have for us. There may be more money for European teams to spend next year too. I think the cash injection helps so we don't have to sell for the money. We just need players off the wage bill particularly non HG ones like Reguilon who are not in the managers plans.

Weird that he would move this as a former Madrista though...
Real main rivals are Barca, Atleti are a fairly distant second.

It's not uncommon for players to play for both - Llorente, Morata, , Hermoso, Juanfran, Theo Hernandez have all done it in recent years.

Like Reguilon but think Conte probably considers him lightweight as a wingback in his system . In terms of being able to handle himself physically in one on one situations, think he may be a fair bit behind the likes of Sessegnon, Perisic, Royal and Doherty.
