Or injured in training....

Would be a shame if he heard about this…

Hopefully Brentford actually play him. Otherwise - the only bonus we get out of the loan is not carrying his wages for six months. I hope he goes there and smashes it. Maybe then someone will at least fork over a couple million to get him off our books permanently.
They don't have any other left backs. Rico Henry is out for the season

Such a bright start turned into this string of flat loans. You just never know.

Not good enough at either end of the pitch unfortunately. Switches of defensively, going forward he’s a threat with his pace but is erratic and his final ball was always disappointing. Not a bad player though and might do ok for Brentford as a stop-gap whilst Henry is out for them

Noh, will take him a good few PL matches to be sharp enough for this level.

Brentford play Forest at home this weekend. Is he not eligible for that game? If he is, it gives him a game to get up to match sharpness and with his recent comments about wanting a January move, he'll be extra motivated to show the PL he's back to his best

Maybe he is.

Just saying when players have been out that long (playing at a certain level) it can take a bit of time to get up to speed.

Anyway we'll see soon enough i guess.

Yeah it’s an odd one as remember people on here were really worried Real Madrid were gonna activate their clause.

Brentford play a back three so will be interesting to see how Reggy does there.

I felt he’d be ideal in role as has a lovely cross although Conte could seem to get him to work there, although Conte has been shown up a bit in his coaching methods I feel.

To me seems more a fitness and confidence issue with Reggy as is a player in there, but the way football works sometimes when not in the groove can be tricky to get back into it and Ange didn’t seem to want to give opportunity at inverted full back.

Ange used him a lot in preseason. I think ultimately it came down to the fact that we had Destiny who was younger and has a higher ceiling, and Ben who is a bigger figure in the dressing room and more versatile. Sometimes it’s not that a player isn’t any good, others are just better.

Wonder how he’s fared at wing back?

Thought he would be ideal for the role but didn‘t do so well under Conte, which i wonder is to do with Conte’s restrictive coaching or suitability for the role?
