Sonny’s form with us has always been streaky and when things are positive he is great and smiling

just that when chips are down, he does also tend to be affected.

not having cuti n madders today showed he can’t lead by himself

we had no leader on the pitch today
We had none against Chelsea either. Truth is we just don't have any, we badly need to address this in next 2 windows

Unsure why he was poor today. He continually lost possession and was reluctant to try a shot when on edge of box. Probably should have been subbed. Hopefully just a one off

Wouldn't surprise me if he needs an op or something too but we're making him play through it

Victim of the circumstances really unfortunately and yet again a reminder of how good Kane is. No CF (bar Kane) is going to produce anything with a midfield of Biss, Sarr and PEH behind him. It just resulted in him trying to overcompensate for the complete lack of service. You put Haaland or Lewa in todays line up and they would look just as useless.

Ange got the team balance very wrong today and CF was always going to be one of the positions to suffer.

I think he's really pissed with the game outcome at chelscum, and probably even will be even more pissed today. Especially he won't be happy with his own performance at all.

There's this greeting video of the players released by the club a few days after chelscum, Son's face was the darkest I have ever seen him wearing that look in all these years. Maybe he's a grumpy morning person, but that's so unlike him. I hope he can channel the seige mentality and energy to the lads for a response against Villa.

Rubbish today I thought. Offered nothing in attack and very poor ball control.
Yep not his best day at the office, could’ve done with Richy or Solomon or Perisic fit so we could’ve put Johnson up there for a bit and/or put Richy up there.

Hopefully Veliz slowly gets up to speed but we certainly need to be looking at striker signings next summer to start to future plan for life after Sonny at some point and also to give him a break at times.

He’s been great this season since moving up front but not his best game today at all.

Son was a passenger today, but that was down to the lack of supply which was non existent.
He ain’t no target man, so based on what we were not delivering I would have replaced him with Veliz

Off the back of the Kane thread posts, and people being sad that he left, I think I'll be more sad when Sonny eventually does go, there's something that feels deeper than it did with Kane.

This happens every international break. Wish people would stop sharing Son (or whoever) went down badly the moment it happens. It just spreads fear and anxiety among the fanbase. I looked on X and he was running after the game. So nothing to worry about.

How some people get through regular life is beyond me.
