not allowed to say but bar his decent scoring record, his been poor this season
Firstly it’s “he’s”

Secondly he’s there to score goals. He does so regularly. He’s brilliant and won a penalty today.

Some people are never fucking two minutes from wanting to slag our best players off.

Son was not the problem at all today. Constantly threatened and won the penalty / got Salisu sent off ffs
He was lively and had caused issues. But his first touch wasn't his best seemed to linger on the ball top long before releasing it. If that's because he jad a lack of support or just an off day in that respect.

I thought he was shocking today tbh. A lot of poor first touches where he got the ball stuck under his feet and a fair few times where he decided not to drive at his man in a 1v1 and allowed Southampton to get numbers back.

I also thought he had an off day. His touch just wasn't there, to be honest I think he is lucky he got fouled for the pen as his touch looked heavy there too.

However, Son has earned his off days IMO been superb for us for a very long time and always runs himself into the ground.

Bingo. Super frustrating when he has his days like this where people act like this is the norm.

It just unfortunately happened on the same day that no other forward could trap a ball either. Just a dumb game that makes a lot of sense considering we just played 2 days ago.

Thought he was very slow today.. there were a few times where he received the ball in dangerous positions and he didn’t know what to do with it, but as others have said, he’s earned that, even so, he needs to sharpen up

Not called up for South Korea in January, according to Spurs web article on News Now
Really good news for him to get a rest

He doesn't seem to be setting himself well enough when he's getting in good positions.

Yesterday, he was in but because he set off a little early the ball came directly at him and he couldn't adjust his body.

When he was one and one with Allison, again he didn't shape his angle well enough and then tried to take it around Allison.

It'll come, he'll start getting it right again but I think we'd have beaten both Liverpool and Southampton had he been at his usual best.
