What's happened to @LeParisien ?

He was so adamant he would not take a "sideways step" to spurs, I'd like to hear your take on the seeming progress made?

In respect to all those who doubt this guy he has been scouted by the best teams in Europe, we never attempt to go for these young pricey players.

Second to that Man city are seeing him as an fernandinho replacement and they have one of the best scouting networks in the world. This guy's ability is far superior to anyone else his age and he proved that in the CL against citeh.

Think City will get Rodri to replace Fernandinho.

Myself I would use Davies as cover for Jan, try and allow Jan a bit more rest in certain games especially if Toby does go

Apparently Davies is putting of a hernia op to play for Wales in June. Another player who will miss pre-season.

We’ll only be strong if we get players in for start of pre-season so they can acclimatise and we used to Poch’s system.

Also annoyed we haven’t withdrawn players from Nations League carnival so they can get a rest and then have a full pre-season. Would be typical if Winks, Kane, Dele, Rose or Dier picked up an injury that trashes pre-season.

You know the teams not involved in the Nations League have to play qualifiers for Euro 2020 this week? Or do you also want us to withdraw Hugo from France squad, Eriksen from the Danish squad, etc.?

Back to Ndombele.....I assume that as JJ is so confident that we've already agreed personal terms. This feels like it could be a huge coup for the club if we can get this deal over the line.

I must have missed this, where did JJ suggest this please?

Just those who have only just returned from significant injuries or operations and who clearly are not match fit, or those delaying operations putting country before club.

Not being match fit just means that they need matches though. They're fit to play or they wouldn't have been in the squad on Saturday. Winks isn't in the England squad so he's not at risk.

And if we hadn't been in the Champions League final Davies would have had his operation three weeks ago and would have definitely missed the qualifiers so it's not as simple as saying it's club over country. I don't really see the big deal in delaying the operation a few more days so that he can play an important game or two for his country having already delayed the operation. He might not even be at the club next season so it might not have any impact on us.

I'll stop now as this isn't the thread for this discussion.

Cheers. I had already seen that post but it didn't suggest to me that we had agreed personal terms unless I have missed something.

Sorry, that was just my interpretation as I don't think JJ would say he was confident without an indication that the players are happy to sign. Maybe exact terms haven't been agreed but there's probably an understanding that personal terms won't be an issue.

I've never read this in a way that specifically refers to Ndombele, other than 60m being 'way off', which, erm...isn't good.

Maybe I'm reading too much about him saying it the Ndombele thread then.

I'm sure there are other tweets where he's been positive about the move though.

If he signs then i’m quietly confident that Ndombele v N’Dombele will become the new Eriksen/Erikson.

There will definitely be a few people in the Ndembele corner, too.

Genuinely excited. COYS!

I agree with you. I'm reading it as JJ saying that Aulas isn't holding out for as much as the media thinks (possibly that the 60m for Fekir wasn't actually the correct amount).

Huh? We dont even know if he’s interested in coming here ffs. The only update on Ndombele we’ve had is that 60m is way off. Let’s save stuff like for a bit, shall we?

I doubt we would be trying to sign him if he wasn't interested in coming here.
