We've discussed that already.
I also wish people would stop associate the word hate with my views about Levy. Hate is a really strong word.

Detest?

Happily see him trip up and fall into his shark infested pool?

We need to know the extent of your dislike here, in order to be able to gauge it fully, and help inform future discussions.

So far he looks solid and reliable and does his things in an unspectacular manner. Hope his presence will help inspire Jan to 1) stay, 2) be more "inspired" through out the season.

Him and Vertonghen must be the best ball playing pair of centre backs in the league. Usually teams will try to take one of the centre backs out of the game to let the less technical one get on the ball. With us, they don't have that option.

None of the above.
My dislike just doesn't compare to my dislike of Cameron and the Tories for example. I just talk about Levy a lot more because this is a spurs forum and a lot of the subjects end up being linked to him in some way

Mild annoyance?

Certainly looks a very good player and just as importantly he seems to have brought the best out in Jan as well.

Really not happy or impressed with this signing at all. Much rather continue Dier's development and Alderweireld is simply not better than Fazio. We have Veljkovic who is good enough to play and we have CCV is verrrrrry close to being ready as well. Also JJ said yesterday that he wasnt even a target coming into the summer, which signals to me that Levy could simply not resist putting one over on Saints after they played us on Schneiderlin and Rodriguez last year. Cool we got one over on Saints. But at what cost? Stunting the development of Dier and blocking an opportunity for Veljkovic and potentially CCV to break into the team? Great job, Dear Leader. Brilliant. Fucking. Job.
just LOLLL!!!!!

Toby and Jan have been top top drawer this season. We usually ship4/5 vs Man.City, this time we conceded 1 and we've kept 3 clean sheets in last 4. Toby has been a HUGE reason for that, very solid top drawer player and clever signing as he works very well with Jan!

Bet those 2 are loving their football at the moment.

@yankspurs those words above... have them for dinner tonight fella, eat em right up :ROFLMAO:

It's his passing that has really impressed me. He doesn't just hoof the ball out of danger, he looks to pick people out.

It is inspiring to see how well Toby has started the season, and it looks as if he an Jan complement and understand each others so well that it has an synergic effect on both.
This transfer window seem to go from good (mainly because Levy managed to get rid ALL the deadwood, most probably because Poch insisted that he did)....to excellent, seeing how well Toby and Alli (I know signed in January) has come along and promises of Son and Njie.
And it seem one of the best moves was not to move for a new DM
I was impressed by how well the whole defense moved as a unit vs ManC - a team that normally tears Spurs' defense (totally) apart. It is rare to see a Spurs defense being able to sit so deep and look so solid both on the ground as in the air.

His been the signing of our window thus far imo. What a difference he's made to Vertonghen and our defence overall.

You know what I've been thinking of lately.. when have we last conceded from a set-piece.. not this season.. a couple of years ago every time we conceded a free or the opposition had a corner I feared the worst.. now I think we can break from this & score.. it's the little things that shows the progress.. I think there's an affinity between the players & the fans because they are showing they care.. Pochettino has removed the poison that was in the club & extracted it.. he has made mistakes in his time as head coach (who doesn't) but we have to show appreciation of the positives.

A few years back I seriously disliked a number of the players that played for us & thought they were stealing a living, now I know once they put on a Spurs shirt they will give all they have.

Couldn't agree more mate!

Getting players who all pull together and care for the club was a big part of what needed changing, Potch nearly has his squad now and we can see a real difference.

I was apprehensive as felt Dier should be first choice alongside Verts, but Toby has been so good and Dier awesome in midfield so what do I know hey! :ROFLMAO:

Well said.
I believe Poch and Mitchell must take major credit for "purging" Spurs for players who are "stealing a living". Before, even though Levy wanted to get rid off certain players he did not manage because he thought purely "business" (i.e. wanting to squeeze out some profit from each sale but in the end ended up getting stuck with many unwanted players rather than just cut the losses and sell them) and thus ended up with players who poisoned the atmosphere.
This summer Spurs sold/released/got rid off around 17-18 players who one could consider 1st team squad players. It seem to have done wonders for the dressing room atmosphere.

If we are all honest, well, I doubt there even a single person on SC who wasn't apprehensive about having Dier as the starting DM.
So what do we all know :D

Defensive duties aside, did Toby used to work as a sniper at some point? Every game i'm blown away by how dead-eye his big crosses are. I really don't enjoy long ball football, being a Spurs fan i'm sure i'm not the only one who prefers to see the ball on the ground, but he must've spent hours practicing that in training - i can't recall, off the top of my head, a single over or under hit long ball forward from him (that i've seen) and whilst some credit has to go to our wide men charging into the space, when he fires that ball into the air i'm fully confident that it's hitting a white shirt.

It's also made me notice how bloody superb Walker is at receiving a ball - his first touch has improved a great deal, accepting crosses yesterday he looked like he had magnetic boots, so kudos to both for clearly working hard on that play.
