I fully agree with this.

It's exactly what people will think or say. It's only on here that I've seen rumuors about him kicking up a fuss and doing 'unspeakable' things.

Media machine is in full motion over this one.
Always 2 sides to a story. Maybe Toby just doesn’t want to sign for us ? Stories of a rift could literally be because he wants to move on.

This just really sucks guys. With those 3atb I felt comfortable against every opponent in the world. Madrid, Liverpool, Dortmund, you name it those made me feel at ease and that we could do it.

I’m pretty sure their player got his agent to say he wanted to leave? Don’t think Toby has done that yet unless I’ve missed it in the last few days?

no his agent just asked for 50k more than what Toby originally was going to put pen to paper, if all is to be believed.

he has definitely done something to be put on the "transfer list". or just a case of he never agreed the original deal, wanted to much and we have decided to make sure we get more now, than sell next season to whoever puts in a bid of 25m

With the rumoured fee they wanted I'm glad it's dead.
Name a club that (without financial doping) has had a greater rise than us in world football in the past decade? Name a club that has invested more in growth than us in that timeframe? Spurs are incredibly ambitious and getting bigger by the season.

You know what! You're right. With that little bit of Bravery in the window though we could go better again.. We're soo close at the minute.

I'm honestly De Ligt or bust at this point. Who are we going to bring in that could even get close to what Toby was? We really missed the boat on Lenglet, IMO.

Toby gone! We now need 4! A signing a day of top quality otherwise we are in real trouble #THFC

Chasing the moon if you're trying to sign 4 top quality players with what is essentially whatever money we got for Toby.
The very best we can possibly hope for is one relatively cheap damage control signing and one quality player signing before Thursday.

Building a new stadium to try and push Spurs on to the highest level, but then getting bullied by bigger clubs, like always. Same old story with Spurs. Levy needs to stop focusing on the financial side of things if he wants the club to win things.

The link with Pavard went quiet. Sure I read somewhere that he has a release clause of 35M euros. Am with you on De Ligt though. Oozes class.

being bullied is when your player isn't for sale

I really can't believe people want to keep someone to stop another PL rival from signing them, when no guarantee he will even enjoy playing for Moaninho, but if he stayed he wouldn't be playing for us, but costing us 75k a week for sitting on his arse playing PS4 games.

This is only OK if Martial is coming the other way though, that wouldnt sit well with me, if they have blocked us signing a player of theirs who is in exactly the same boat. But thats been said a million times over

I don’t get the impression we’re going to go out and replace Toby now - with that in mind, I personally think Foyth can step up:

Even though it does leave us pretty light at the back...
