Seems pretty straight-forward to me. If United don't want to negotiate with Martial or another player, we keep him another year or sell him to another high bidder. I wouldn't have a problem selling him for less next year, because even one year of Toby is worth a lot. People forget how good he was in 2016-2017; he's still better than Sanchez.

I wouldnt mind personally, as long as his head is right place - we are a better squad with him in it and I’d like to achieve things now .. can’t be a project forever.
He is not leaving for free next season - it’s still 25m, but a year is a long time in football for him & for us .
I take into account he could move anywhere at that point including arsenal etc but if he moves this summer it’s still to a major rival anyway.
Just my opinion anyway.

My other thing on selling Toby is I would be a lot more motivated on De Ligt if we didn't just buy Foyth as well who looks to be a bright prospect who needs some more time to grow up.
