Not on his feed, he isn't.
“I found a fiver”

He speaks in riddles. My Man Utd supporting wife has followed him for a long time. She assured me he’s referencing Toby. Read back through his stuff if you can be arsed. He’s meant to be right more often than not.

I think you are on the right track but I think you underplay some of their wishes.

They clearly want a CB now, Alderweireld is their #1 target, Maguire is even more expensive, Mina isn't really good enough, and Boateng is a similar age and not much cheaper either. I think they need one this summer so we do have some power.

Martial's position seems untenable, and I think you are right in they can take a hit abroad, but if he's the key to their best target, and the effective fee is that much higher than what they'd get, maybe they have to relent.

If Mina really is an attempt to catch Levy out maybe they are starting to crack!

The catch is that as you rightly say they are a financial powerhouse and can get out of jail by offering a large amount of straight cash, which is the odds on outcome.

Agree certainly - been done to death on here a bit, so don't want to rehash, but very much in agreement with the previous on here that if somehow this did happen, it would be as the moany one kicked up a load of fuss, otherwise there's no pressure on Utd to deal at all.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love it to happen, but just feels like we are holding a much lower hand, and Utd know it - there's no bluff. Obv never really know the full truth, reports this week sounds like Toby full on wants Utd, and we want him gone. Martial just wants out, very little noise he would nailed on want us. Worse the relationship with Mour gets, more I think he will just want out, Preference to stay in the PL will start to become less of an issue, if he had one.

Also be surprised if this got reported as a swap, as the Utd fans would hate it you'd think? One of their young exciting players for a centre back really doesn't feel like Christmas come early to me if I was in their shoes - already complaints about the lack of attacking play.

It'll be interesting to see if a pissed off Mourinho is enough to get the ball rolling.

That can mean absolutely anything. If Toby doesn't happen, someone will just spin it to mean something else. Also, of course a United fan will understand it to mean Toby is happening, that's what they want to happen.

Not sure if anybody has made this observation on here before, but just wanted to add if Levy sells Toby to United, without getting Martial in exchange, he is a massive bellend.

That's all.

I certainly think Levy's stubbornness, Utd's reluctance for late deals and Mourinho's never-ending meltdown might actually be enough to tip the scales. Wouldn't put money on it though.

No excuses if he doesn't. Martial wants the move and is desperate.

Maybe both deals could be agreed and we delayed announcing ours a little bit. I don't think if it somehow happened it would be an official swap. I think even the Sanchez deal was officially separate deals.

If Man U have dug their heels in and offered substantial cash for Alderweireld in a take it or we move on type of move do people feel happy that we've swallowed it instead of losing him for £25m next summer or not?

Answers need to be rationally thought of from the business perspective not as a fan

Man Utd ITK saying Toby is done. Gregory Ioannidis @LawTop20

Even if he's right it doesn't tell us too much apart from the end is nigh.

He could have gone for £40m or £60m

Tony Martial could be on an easyjet flight down to London in the morning, or alternatively his agent is mapping out his european tour preparing to flog him.

Part of me wants this over as it's clearly the logjam in our window. I'll be seriously pissed off if it's straight cash, only way I'd let it go is if the cash wrapped up a Zaha or equivalent sharply after.

Not a Kane fiver though. Unlucky bastard.
A Toby fiver must be the worst kind. It thinks it's worth more than it actually is, despite previously agreeing with your valuation, which sadly leads to it becoming almost worthless.
