Really like the fact we got him in early doors. Proper Poch pre-season so he's firing and covering Dembele from the off. We might just be learning (still need that striker though).

I think Dier has shown that with someone alongside him doing the breaking up, he has enough in his game to become to be much more progressive and creative.
I think Dier is looking more like Schneiderlin all the time.... but better. He could play well with Wanyama.

Really happy with this signing. Young enough that his best years are ahead of him, experienced enough that he can hit the ground running, not similar to any of our better youngsters so shouldn't prevent any player's progression. Knows the league, knows the boss, knows the style. Now we have two genuine options for the more defensive role in midfield. Hopefully one of Mason, Carroll or Bentaleb steps up to genuinely push Dembele. Sign a striker now and our squad has no holes. Then we only need to worry about if we can make certain upgrades, but failure to do so would not be fatal when you consider the depth of options we have in those positions already.

Another good thing is that Dier will not have to hold back from his fierce tackles anymore when he has accumulated a few yellows, which would make him even more fearsome.

Im positive. He is young, got premier league experience and Poch probably know what he buying.
Read somewhere that Toby praised the cover Wanyama provided in his southampton days. And as some others have written, i to think he can play with Dier and not just a back up.

Haven't seen anything of him to be honest, but have heard the name mentioned in dispatches as a kid of promise. (might have seen him play for one of the England youth teams now I think about it).

he's a similar level to winks but like always when one plays and the other doesn't it's easy to say the former is better.

We sign a destroyer and there is a convenient add on the thread!

I would say Lewis Cook was much more physically developed than Winks but I think Winks has better technique.

Guys an absolute monster solid addition. As someone mentioned no one will pass us if he's in midfield along with Dembele and Dier - stuff of nightmares for opposition lol
