Hopefully soon and we can consign the pages and pages about Mitchell's black box to history.

Why is the box black? This is a typical comment that I would get... People misunderstand so much nowadays... Even children books are changed because they used words like black.

I hope the list is like that, without mentioning the word. We need to add more quality players to our squad.

@Spursking who is your preferred striker target to back up Harry?

I'm so happy with this transfer. Mainly because I won't need to check the Wanyama thread everyday only to see hundreds of the same posts..

I wanted him when he was at Celtic. But now has had premiership experience and we get him for the price he would have cost then. Bloody good signing and will be great for the squad

Makes me feel so much more comfortable knowing we have options like Wanyama who can come in and shut a game down late instead of Carroll or Mason.

Also I didn't even realize Wanyama is younger than Mason.

Really happy with this signing. Young enough that his best years are ahead of him, experienced enough that he can hit the ground running, not similar to any of our better youngsters so shouldn't prevent any player's progression. Knows the league, knows the boss, knows the style. Now we have two genuine options for the more defensive role in midfield. Hopefully one of Mason, Carroll or Bentaleb steps up to genuinely push Dembele. Sign a striker now and our squad has no holes. Then we only need to worry about if we can make certain upgrades, but failure to do so would not be fatal when you consider the depth of options we have in those positions already.
Imo Carroll has gone as high as he possibly can. I would swap Winks for him in your scenario

FACT. No midfielder aged 25 or under has recovered the ball more times in the PL since Wanyama signed for Southampton in August 2013.

We will now have a side to our game that we hadn't previously and we'll be stronger for it.

Great business.

Sorry if this has been covered already but does he have to bugger off to the ACN in January?

Enough with this shit, asking whether an African player will represent his country at an international tournament. It's annoying and insulting, would we be better off not signing any African players?
