I just love the "we should sign this 19 year old German Raumdauter from the German 4th division over a proven Premier League player our manager loves" people always looking silly by week 7 in the league.

Was always going to be an excellent signing, just like Toby.

He's perfect for us and him and Dier will both play lots this season - it's a squad game, difference between this season and last is that Poch now has a *squad* he trusts whereas last year he had a *team* he trusted. We don't need to make 11 changes each game like last year, he can make 3-4 changes and keep the team performing. Rotation. Lovely

To the tune of the Cartoons:

ooh eeh, ooh argh arghhhhhhh,
It's a Viktor Wana-yama-ding-dong!

He was absolutely outstanding today - he is getting better each match. I think Dier will be lucky to get back into the team at this rate.

We were much more comfortable today with Dembele missing than I thought we would be and this guy was a large part of that. Really played well, particularly after his booking when it would have been pretty easy to get a second.

Based on what he has done in a Spurs shirt this season think we would have won the league with him last year as those defeats when Dembele was out would likely have been converted into wins and draws

Amazing today. Have to say he's been far better than I thought he'd be. Always worried about a poor touch that could cost us, but as long as the good weighs out the bad I'll be happy.

Thought he'd be a squad player or back up...but on current form is simply another rotatable player in our squad of first team players.

Not necessarily as would have been partnered with Dier and that's like two negative magnets being forced together lol.

Will be interesting to see team line-ups now, I know it's a squad game etc but there is an element of first choice players and Dier was the daddy in there last season...

He's been amazing in the last two games. A much better footballer than some people gave him credit for before he joined.

50/50 on whos the better player between victor and dier. Victors the better all rounder imo but dier brings that fight and will run through brick walls.

Great thing is that there is zero drop off in quality between he and dier. I think we will play this 4-1-4-1 when moussa doesnt play to compensate for a lack of suitable partners for dier or victor.

By the look of it 4-1-4-1 suits us down to the ground. Far more attacking

I was a bit concerned about his displinary record. For me Dier picks up fewer bookings but Victor showed today that despite picking up an early yellow he kept his head.
