Man I seem to be in the minority of people really not overly bothered by his departure. I liked him and I am sure he will bang them in in Instanbul but when I watched him vs PSG in Orlando it was painful. I've always felt the "scores one and then he'll start a run" is always a romatic myth for players we like but you can see when a player just isn't putting it together.

Good luck to him, he seems a nice guy and there is potential in there, but I think a move to a new team and fresh start is what he needs.

I completely agree. He looked ok at first but I haven't seen much from him to suggest he is up to it and I trust Poch and the rest of the staff if they don't think he will be and so hopefully we can get a good deal for him and he can move on/do well.

He can't do NOTHING very unfortunately!

I assume the top brass were genuinely annoyed at Janssen to ship him out on loan following the below:

VJ, Poch loves him as a person, and admires his attitude. Poch wants it to work for him, and told him he needs 3 specialist strikers, and with all the games he would get his games.

I would have liked him to go to a premier league club on loan and seen if he could adapt and become a premier league striker. There were some promising signs. Sending him to Turkey shows we have given up. Poch has the benefit of knowing him and seeing him in training every day and has obviously decided he won't be good enough.

Who knows? He definitely spoke to Poch as he was unsure of Brighton. Without no knowledge on this one I would assume he spoke to Poch, and took his advice. I really do not know.

Shame we couldn't get him a domestic loan, but for his own good I think he had to move on - for this season at least. I still think there's a player in there.
