Funny what happens when you have a CM who’s decent on the ball on the pitch isn’t it. Imagine having 2 in him and Bentancur. I don’t care if it takes 2 seasons to play him into form in our shirt, I’d start him every damn game rather than waste my time on Hojbjerg

Didn't see much of the game when he came on but reports are solid.

His signing was the biggest one for me last summer. The fact its not worked out so far probably reflects where we are as a club.

Will feel like a new signing next year when, hopefully, our new Manager builds the midfield around him.

I would say build our midfield around Bentancur and include Bissouma ahead of Skipp or PEH as his partner.

Did'nt see the game but so happy to hear he did well.

If we can get Bents back in shape they could form quite the midfield pair. Both relatively young as well.

In theory they should compliment each other very well.

Must admit I didn’t expect him to play again this season so good to hear he’s hit the ground running

Not having him and bentancar for the last 2-3 months has killed us .

Hojberg and skipp are a Southampton midfield partnership

Seeing him on the ball the speed of thought, one touch passing and technical ability is a world away from Hoj and Skipp.

He also just looks so much more comfortable out there doing his thing rather than trying to get his head around the rigid Conte-ball that clearly didn't suit him.

Feel optimistic about him next season - was super excited when we signed him and he was totally hamstrung by Conte.

Imagine having him and Bentancur as a 2, with the option of playing defensively with a proper CDM behind them (Skipp) or a proper creator/number 10 in front.
