Was he not injured for a lot of last season? I agree it's poor that we didn't see any of this from Bissouma last year but there must be some blame on the player as well.

That was an amazing watch last night. If we're watching you tube videos of him as a player we'd be putting up £100m of our transfer budget for him.

The difference Bissouma/Bentancur/Maddison as our midfield will make is staggering. No offence to Hojbjerg, Winks and Sissoko because they have/had different attributes but the change in fluidity's going to be night and day.

Honestly the instant change we've seen since Ange took over just shows how dated Conte was. Already we've totally changed with the ball and Bissouma was always going to benefit from that. I'm just glad we signed him because we could have gone with someone more suited to defensive boring counter football.

Bissouma, Bentancur and Maddison/Lo Celso will genuinely give us one of the best midfields in the entire league.

Think about how good Bentancur was before his injury. If he gets back to full fitness and mobility, now imagine him under Ange instead of the war criminal. He will go up a level.

Bissouma playing like last night (basically how he played for Brighton) is one of the best midfielders in the PL and earth bit as good as Rice for example.

In Maddison and Gio it looks like we have 2 genuine creative options who will run hard and fit the playstyle perfectly. We could even put them both in midfield with Bissouma in certain games or in certain match scenarios.

Honestly I’m foaming at the mouth at the prospect of what our midfield could be like in the next few months if Benny comes back ok.

Yeh, he was hamstrung by that yellow. Wasn't really any need for it. In fact I think the only yellow deserved was Skipps for the shirt pull.

Love the languid style that draws players in before he just slides past them.
