A thread for those Spurs players who for one reason or another never became Ledg's at the Lane..

I'll start off with a few, who I.M.O could have been:

Danny Thomas

(A pacy RB, who was cruely cut short due to injury)

Richard Gough

( a great CB, who went back to Scotland to keep his missus; happy, who later cheated on him)

Gica Popescu

(a DM with a great touch and vision, but never settled and left for Barca')

Steve Hodge

( arrived from 'Forrest as one of the biggest English talents in the game, but never really produced at Spurs)

Rebrov, gotta be another..

(Was regarded as the better of the prolific Kiev partnership of Shevchenko/Rebrov, came with a big price tag, but only showed glimpses of his talent)

Iverson

(Supposedly wanted by Europes big teams, made a great debut against 'Pool ?? but rumoured to enjoy the drugs & clublife in London to much)

Sol Campbell obviously. A fit Campbell-King could've easily been the best partnership in Spurs history

Only Spurs player I can think of who once was so loved and later so hated.

Could have been up there with the truly all-time Tottenham greats, and remembered fondly as a one club legend, but even with his medals, now will never be truly loved by any of his clubs fans........Shame

I often wonder what went though Campbell's head when he signed for the scum. It still, to this day, makes no sense to me.

Not alot I would think, Sky Andrews done his thinking for him and who was going to pay the biggest wages/signing on fee.

I always thought the Ziege / Carr fullback combo could have been legendary had either one of them actually ever been fit.

Anderton - Had the ability but his attitude was shit

Ehhh disagree about that to be honest, he just had horrific luck with injuries but was still a great player for us I think... if he had remained injury free he could have been a legend... to say things about his attitude is wrong imo.
