Cheers fella
ChRiStOpHe loving the knowledge mate repped!
apparently in 2000 while he was manager of Huddersfield, Steve Bruce had a £750,000 bid ACCEPTED by Chelsea for their young defender John Terry.
From BBC Matchday Saturday
Rivaldo actually wrote a public letter thanking spurs and only went for the CL football. That courtesy spared some blushes.
Arshavin was the worst decision in recent years. Resigned Keane and bought Pavleyuchenko instead.
We could have had an option of a lovely three pronged attack.
We deffo wanted Diego and he went to Germany instead. Why go to the Bundesliga over the Prem?
Souness was meant to be mustard for Spurs youth, but was homesick.
Crouch, sold him for 1 million, he was awful, paid 12 million to get him back.
On the upside to these, we nearly signed Dean Ashton for 18 million!!!
des walker... only lived round the fecking corner!!!..
Yep, and apparently released as a youngster as he wouldn't get a haircut!
Terry didn't want to go. Can hardly blame him.
I've told this story several times on here so veterans feel free to skip this post. I was in the Director's Box many moons ago when Alan Sugar was moaning to John Motson about the time Enzo Scifo was sat in front of him at WHL with the contract and pen in his hand only to get a call from Mrs Scifo who said London was "horrible" and she wouldn't live there. So he walked away. This was just after Italia 90 when Scifo was magnificent. Would have been a proper Spurs player, him.
Im sure there is a story to be told about Beckham with us as well?
He used to train at Spurs as a youngster, but wear his man utd shirt while doing so.
