There's only few players in Spurs history who have turned down moves to ManuRe and those are Mabbutt and Anderton and what Keano did and signed new contract with Spurs. Ardiles would have got more money from elsewhere, but he stay with us.

But how many players there have been who has turned down moves to a bigger club just cos they wants to play for Tottenham. After Mabbutt and Anderton only players who come up to my mind is Ledley, Teemu and Keano but from those players only one who's Spurs Legend status is Keano which is understanable.

But how many playes you can mention who dedicated his career for Spurs?

Perryman, Blanchower, Anderton, Mabbutt, Ardiles, King(he will be there), Tull, Woodward, Roberts and Jennings (even he playe for Scum) and you can count Klinsi cos he came back and saved us for relegation...

Tull?

The only Tull who ever played for Tottenham was Walter Tull, who made a grand total of 10 league and 2 FA Cup games for Tottenham between 1909 and 1911. His major claim to fame as a footballer was the colour of his skin.

Woodward? Vivian Woodward, who played 27 League and 4 FA Cup games between 1908 and 1909? Or there was another H J Woodward who played 63 league and 1 FA Cup game between 1946 and 1949?

Dedicated their careers? Hardly

Blanchflower was 30 when he joined Tottenham and had previously played for Barnsley, Aston Villa and Glentoran.

Anderton started with Portsmouth, and has done the rounds since leaving Tottenham, still turning out for Bournemouth. Gary Mabbutt had played for Bristol Rovers for about 4 years before joining Tottenham. Ardiles was 24 and a World Cup Winner when he joined Tottenham and had played for Huracan for about 6 years.
Ledley King has been a one club man so far, and Steve Perryman for the vast majority of his acreer.

Chris Hughton was essentially a one club man, only leaving when his services were no longer required.

There must be scores of players who dedicated their football lives to Tottenham over the years, but most were not at all famous, and there would be countless others who would have, if given the opportunity.

However, the major omission from your list (shame on you) is the late great Billy Nick, and even he spent a couple of years in exile at West Ham.

I Don't recall Mabbs being chased by Man Utd and lets face it through the 80's why would he leave us for them? They hadn't won the league since 1967.
He did turn down all conquering Liverpool though so even more credit to him I guess.
