We need to think above that. Finishing above Arsenal is a fruitless pursuit in the grand scale of things. If this is their ambition then let that be.

We should be setting our sights far higher than that target.

To not finish above Arsenal this season would be a kick in the teeth, and I have had to many of those in the last 25 years of supporting Spurs to not care about it now! Really want the lads to finish the job against Newcastle and end the season on a high!

Got to have something to aim at. I wouldn't call finishing as top London team and 2nd in the League 'fruitless' at all. It's an achievable goal.

True, but finishing above the Woolwich mob has to be a means to an end, not an end in itself. A sign that we're moving in the right direction, if you like.

Yep, but it's one monkey I'd love to get off our back.
Believe me, I want that monkey off the club's back, too. I've had more than enough of those patronising, arrogant bastards at work or in the pub. Fortunately, there aren't many Goons where I live now, but in Walthamstow...

I would consider finishing above Man Ure, Chelsea and Man Citeh as being a bigger achievement than finishing above Arsenal, then again everyone to their own.

I care.
I'll be gutted if we let those fktards get 2nd after being there for weeks.
Especially as it'll be down to losing the plot against Chelski, fkin up against Wbrom, Southampton at home and, if it comes to pass, Newcastle who are probably going to be relegated.
As collapses go that would be right up there.

But were gonna win so who gives a shit.

I want us to finish as high as we can and being above that lot will be an added bonus. There's extra money for every position and a bigger carrot is that we could avoid a qualifying round in the Champions League by being second. Liverpool could well win the Europa League and I think, though I'm not entirely sure, this would mean that the side in third would need to play a qualifying round as we did against Bern when we last got in. I'm confident an English side would get through but if we can avoid it we should. Although I was confident we'd beat Southampton, I'm also very confident we'll beat Newcastle and we only need a draw.

Beating the barcodes to their Premier League death and finishing 2nd above Le Arse is surely worth doing!! It would be some kind of consolation anyway.
