One of my favorite things SC does is take things people say they think will happen a few years down the line and spin it into people thinking will happen immediately so they are made to look like idiots and turned into a laughing stock. Really is quite something

What great news though, Poch has been brilliant since the moment he walked through our door, he respects the club and see what we see! The future is lily white!!

Excellent. It not only tells our players where they stand, but any potential new signings as well.

Fantastic news, especially after the PSG comments earlier in the week which had me slightly worried given our history with managers.

It really does seem like we have turned a page as a club, such a great season and what looks like a very bright future for once.

Over the moon we have retained his services and I can imagine the players are delighted hearing that as well as I imagine if Poch left then a few of them might have had eyes on the exit door as well.

The only way is up! COYS.

Yeah but he's off to PSG according to some paranoid people on here.

Can you really blame people for being slightly worried given our history with managers? I think it's kind of healthy to be a little paranoid where our club is concerned in this regard.

Given our history with managers I think it's quite healthy to be a little bit paranoid about it.

Thankfully it's good news for us this time.

Mauricio Pochettino told his press conference earlier today that he has verbally agreed a two-year contract extension at Tottenham Hotspur.

This comes in the same week that he made it clear he would also like to coach former club Paris Saint-Germain at some point in his career.

One man who clearly feels this is still a possibility, despite today’s developments, is former Southampton player Matt Le Tissier.

He is quoted by Sporting Life as suggesting that Pochettino would jump at the chance to manage PSG if an offer came up – despite his achievements and what he is building at Tottenham Hotspur:

"It doesn't shock me that Pochettino, who is an ambitious manager, would be touting himself for other jobs and it wouldn't surprise me if he left.

"He's very driven, be it by ambition or finances and I think if PSG did come knocking then he would accept it."

Then, not long after Pochettino’s announcement, Le Tissier had this to say about his future on Twitter:

Mark Chappell ‎@ChappellMark
@mattletiss7 says on sky sports Pochettino will be tempted to leave in the summer, same day he signs a new deal with Spurs. "Expert"

Don't mean to burst any bubbles but until he puts pen to contract, I will temper my enthusiasm. Fantastic news anyway
