You think?!

Hey I've seen way too many false dawns at Spurs to allow myself to get fully sucked in. Too many times have I thought this could be it! Only for it it to turn to shit. Has left me a glass half empty kinda guy, when in real life I'm a glass half full. Still, I do want to believe this could finally be the Messiah and not just another very naughty boy.

I don't think this rules out any big signings. I mean look at Son for example. That was a 20mil + signing. And a good one at that. Just sounds like if we do go for a big money signing it'll be one we've properly scouted who fits us and not just anyone. So no Paulinho or Soldado type signing which is refreshing to hear.

Plus when you look at our best signings of late and remember that that includes Dier, Alli and Toby and that combined they didn't even cost 20mil I'm liking our transfer business and that even with the stadium coming up it's not affecting the quality of players we're bringing it.

Oh it's a good time to be a Tottenham fan. We've got a team who's playing well and getting better, a manager who works well with our chairman and together they're giving the fans what they want and we've got a new stadium coming up which will be great and it's not actually affecting or disrupting our teams progress? Madness how good things are. Madness I tell ya!

This is a bit of a non-story really, and yet it'll be used by those who hate Levy to moan about no transfers.

The truth is, it's the same line that Pochettino has pushed all year. We'll buy players who fit the profile, who will improve us, and who won't detract from the atmosphere in the camp.

How anyone manages to twist that to a negative is beyond me.

Lovely read. Love a man who admits when he's wrong

Interesting suggestion that a £20m player should a) be our best player and b) shouldn't need time to come good tho. Thats a tough gig when clearly we have players worth much more than that, and some who did just that - the 'good in fits and starts' Son being one of them

the line till now has been that the stadium doesn't affect transfer budgets.

When we can al see it has.

This statement represents the first official acknowledgement that the stadium project can be put forward as a reason for not spending big, which is accepted by almost all fans including me.

Filling the only glaring hole in the squad is imperative to maintaining a challenge on three fronts, and its been a bleedin long time since he concluded solly and ade were going to be shipped out and this signing both for now but also for the future is long overdue.

I don't say this lightly but Pochettino is probably the only manager we have had in the past hrmm... I dunno.. 20 years that I can honestly say I trust completely. I totally love the guy and I hope we hold on to him for the next 5+ years at least.

If Spurs manage to move Fazio out and get a good price for Townsend (who I really wanted to succeed as Spurs); convince Milos to stay by including him in the 1st squad (replacing Fazio), and get 1-2 of these youngsters:Rico Henry, Maddison, Dembele, I'd be happy - but not thrilled.
I would love to see Leroy Sane being signed, as Spurs then would have a WRF to challenge Lamela (I know Sane can also play in as ACM), but that's very-very unlikely to happen.
