Yep also proud.

Chelsea had a lot of big game experience, even on their bench. Convinced our players will develop better from the experience of today.

Removing Lamela and Dembele from the starting lineup proved to be our downfall. Poch has been tinkering with the squad too much and our season is gone because of that. We were on to something for a while.

The next time we played these bastards, our players should take turns to kick lumps out of Costa.

Proud? We wouldnt have scored if we were playing the next day. Sorry guys we are still light years and £billions behind the top 2.

I can see many positives from this defeat. One of it is Bentaleb is getting better and better. He was very good, his ball control and tackle like he was playing against Swindon.

The game was largely disappointing because we did not threaten their goal for almost the whole game. These are the avb-esque performances we throw out from time to time, often tied to the ridiculous isolation of the lone striker and a lack of urgency and direct quick passing. Possession for its own sake is an awful approach, especially against top sides, who appreciate the chance to stay organized without being threatened and then using their smaller amount of possession well.

I hope Poch's process comes to fruition. I think he's far to rigid in his love of 4231, though, so it'll be interesting to watch the season play out and whether we can get a scoring mojo going again.

I have some agreement with the tinkering idea and maybe Poch should have ridden the wave of success built around Kane and Eriksen rather than dropping them in and out. But lamela and Dembele have been largely peripheral figures in the story of our season so far. There's no way lamela deserved a starting place in this final. And I'd have given Townsend the nod ahead of Dembele too.

Top man Poch - really someone who knows how to conduct himself the right way.

I have to say we more than held our own in the game. I know there were some disagreements on this site for one or two of the starting line-up but I thought we did extremely well and were even in control of the game before their first goal. Yes there was no penetration in the final third but they were basically playing with 5 at the back and looking to hit us on the counter attack. This is a team that will be premier league champions and we were in control of the game.

Their first goal was a defensive error (Rose's header) and the second was pure bad luck (with Walker struggling with his knee) - apart from that they did not have a single chance and held their defensive shape very well. A typical ruthless Mourinho team performance - looking to win in any way with time wasting and professional fouls after they went two up. Won't criticise them for that, they are a very experienced team that knows how to win.

The future looks good for us - Lloris, Walker, Dier, Rose, Vertoghen, Fazio, Davies (good defense). Bentaleb - my favorite player, calm under pressure, good distribution, knows how to win the ball and he is only 20. Will be a monster for us in a couple of years. Mason, Chadli, Eriksen, Kane and perhaps Dembele as well (decent midfield and attack).

Not sure what the future holds for Paulinho, Capoue, Townsend, Lamela, Soldado and Ade. Poch has clearly demonstrated that he is the one to take us forward and hopefully he will have funds to work with next season. We should hopefully end up 6th this season. Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United and us. A work in progress but the signs are good.

COYS!!
