So, what he has already agreed with Levy then, reflecting the transition from head coach to manager. So not really a story.

Edit: Transition from head coach to manager May, Mitchell walks in August, article that Poch wants more say in transfers in November. Doesn't presage revolution, is all I'm saying.

By many accounts he spoke directly to our targets in the summer and pushed for all the recent player contracts.
There is no way Levy would advance his responsibilities unless he knew he could trust him so he really must be highly thought of at the club.

Think it helps that he doesn't have an agent so will not buy players his agent recommends getting a little kickback.

Some reporters have claimed Poch is now one of the most powerful managers in the EPL, in line with Wenger at Arsenal, and Sir Alex when he was at Man U. All indications are this is true.

I posted a question on Windy's blog site asking whether Poch knows that Spurs is a rare opportunity to build something akin to what Ferguson and Wenger have achieved. He won't have this anywhere else at a club of similar size to Spurs. I think that his meeting with Ferguson may not have been him being buttered up for the Old Trafford job, but that he wanted to get a handle on how SAF built his kingdom.

I feel that we should not break our DOF structure for any one. Any coach we employ should be happy to work within that structure and Poch was happy with that setup when we employed him.

This story went from requests and expressed a desire to demands in some papers :D
