Let's wait and see how much silverware he brings to the club because ultimately that's the only thing he or any manager gets a contract for. Nothing else.
That must be why Redknapp was sacked as he didn't win any silverware. Ramos did, but he's not here, either.

When a manager gets us top 4 for the first time. Then does it again And still gets the sack then I'm afraid all bets are off.
Yes, you're right. It had sweet FA to do with him touting for the England job and rejecting an offer to renew his contract until he didn't get the England job. Oh, and not forgetting screwing up a much better position in the table with a team that had VdV, Modric, Bale and King.

I don't want to lose Poch, just as I didn't want to lose Jol or Harry but DL on a whim decided AVB or Ramos would be an improvement. You call it a loss of faith, I call it a hissy fit, I'm honestly not sure how cool and considered the plan was of giving AVB 100m to spend, then firing him so he could get Sherwood before the players had settled.

In my opinion, the millions we spent firing those managers didn't do the club any good. Are we sure DL can be trusted with this manager? All comments about the good relationship with Poch were said about managers that Levy fired a year later. My best advice to Poch would be win something to make it harder for Levy to do his thing, although that didn't work for Ramos. Don't fear the reaper when you work for Levy.

AVB clearly wasn't fired, he was repeatedly reprimanded and walked

If it had been 'for' Sherwood, he'd have been manager the next season

AVB exit wasn't planned and Tim was seen as a safe pair of hands while they figured out what the fuck to do

Yeah, ok mate.
Huge difference, not.
When your employer tells you to walk or be pushed what choice have you got if you want to save face?
Saved us few quid though.

Well, unlike Timothy of Sherwood and how he deals with employers, AVB has kept his own counsel about the matter. I know it messes with your head, but there is a difference. Are you privy to the settlement to state that it saved us a few quid? AVB felt undermined and wouldn't budge on Adebayor coming back in. He was naive unlike Poch, who just let Adebayor mentally unravel.

I think it is different, yes. Going on what little evidence there is, I think Levy wanted AVB to stay but to work under certain conditions, that he was irked by him but ideally he'd see out the season & get with the programme. And AVB said no thanks, I'd rather leave than work in any way that isn't my way. How that relationship broke down, and both ended up on totally different pages, is up for debate.

This isn't an AVB defence, it's a Levy one really. I don't think he's trigger happy necessarily. Santini quit. He saw Ramos as an upgrade on Jol, and on paper he was, but it backfired. Redknapp was sacked for non footballing reasons. And I don't think he sacked AVB for Tim, I think he was put in a position that he had to sort a temporary solution for. Each situation is actually very different, but they often get painted as a trend

There may be an opening soon at Stamford Bridge. They need the best a man can get. Step forward, Mr Tim Sherwood: The Gilet One.

Not to mention how the club supported him when he needed a medical procedure (had a stent inserted I think) and during his tax trial

I don't think he's in any danger of being sacked
If Chelsea don't recover and 4th place is up for grabs there is a real danger he will be sacked because the board are going to look at it as a missed opportunity especially if clubs like west ham, everton or southampton were to get it. At the very least there will be a sizeable chunk of supporters that want him gone. It really doesn't take much to become a villain.

Have you ever seen a manager change things as much as Poch has in the last season and a half. the whole club feels different. Yes Jol brought flair back and Redknapp bought the good times. But they didnt change the club mentality. Poch is changing things on a whole different level to all previous managers. he isnt going to get the tin tack for some time. we are building something solid here for the future for the frst time in years. and it feels good.

THFC is now going in the different direction Levy stated when sacked Harry... Poch got us continued Euro. League (5th place) and League Cup Final in his 1st season.. Academy doing really well.. good times for us is a lot closer now.. COYS

The crunch will come when levy doesn't sign a few players that'll take us on another notch.
If pochettino takes it on the chin he'll have a job for life.
