Ah, the penny drops.Spurs boss has questioned his side's long-term mentality to call themselves real contenders.

Ah, the penny drops.
Finally.
Now focus on winning a domestic cup next season, please.
It's the first vital step for us you think we don't need to take.
Snore off you utter bore.Yep, let's not try and win the league at all.
Hopefully within that period the stadium income will start to be reflected in the transfer budget. For sure money is important but mentality does play a part too. We know we can beat the better teams so when we do lose to a Burnley, knowing that we do have better quality players then mentality must play a part in that. This sort of comment is utter crap.
Money wins titles.
If ANY club has a sugar Daddy come in and spend spend spend then they WILL win the title within 2 or 3 years.
Chelsea and Man City prove it.
5 years, 10 years, 100 years wont make any fkin difference while there are 4 huge clubs out there spending 10 times more than you.
By the same token if the money pulled out of City and Chelsea they wouldn't be anywhere near winning a title. Their 'mentality' isnt gonna keep them in the top 4 let alone win a title.

Although I agree with you this is where we are falling short. Twice we came within two points of city and pool and we blew it. Against Wolves and Burnley. Teams we really should be beating comfortably with all due respect. We are lacking a certain cutting edge. We need to regain that edge whilst we still have a squad that can arguably compete for the title.I'm gonna stick to the optimistic route & say he's simply stated these words to fire the boys up & stem the talk of being title contenders from the media.
Under the radar is where we perform best.

I believe the point that was being made was not to isolate the supposed quality of the opponent, but also the possible importance of the specific match. Issue isn't that we lost to Burnley full stop. Issue is that we lost to a team of lessor quality in a match that was the match to win in terms of title run or no title run. It's not about the ability to beat a non-prestigious team. It's the ability to go, "Fuck this is an important match, we'll absolute nail it".The it response I can give to this had already been stated countless times by others, buddy.
If Man City want to win the league, they should be comfortably beating the likes of Newcastle & Leicester, but they've lost against them. Liverpool, if they want to win the title, should have won more than the 2 or 3 league games they've won in 2019, but they haven't.
It is indeed unlikely that we'll win the league but, the fact is, in the PL, there is always a chance that these clubs that should be beaten will end up getting a surprise victory.
Absolutely. That's the point really - there is no single issue or remedy. All of the points made on here have been valid to a greater or lesser extent. He has a point. Teams can lose a football match, but after getting back into the game at 1-1 a title winning team goes on do win that match.
I do find it amusing though how Poch’s predictions keep going backwards and expectations continually lowered.
At some point he also has to point the spotlight on himself. The selection of Foyth over Sanchez was a big error on his part.
Agree which is what makes the decision to play 5 defenders and start Foyth imo fkin stupid but there you go.
