I'm not happy with 'arry's constant moaning. I'd like to see him concentrating on inspiring the pretty good squad he has to exhibit more attacking football. Less talk and more action on the field, please. If he can't keep this squad up then he should retire. I expect us to stay up and then we'll see what he's made of next season. I want him to succeed but so far, apart from some good signings, the football hasn't improved much and his overtly negative tactics away from home drive me nuts. So that's a no in the poll...but good luck to him!

I wouldn't be any unhappier if Graham, Pleat, Souness or Allardyce were in charge.

The second we are safe Levy should be on the phone to van Gaal and Schaaf, if he hasn't been already.

I can't think of anyone worse .

HELL NO. Should Never have been appointed. If Ramos had to go last October, questionable for me that decision was, then we were far better off appointing a stop gap manager till the summer and then re-evalute our position then. Instead we sacked the manager, coaching team and our whole DOF structure to bring in a manager with a questionable past and a CV that hardly inspires you with confidence. It seems no thought was given to the mid-long term future of our club in this appointment.

4-5 months into his tenure the words "out of his depth" spring to my mind.

ps.s I'm gonna get slated for this post but to be honest I dont really give a damn. I been to nearly 90% of the games home and away since he has taken charge and nothing I have seen what so ever can convince me that he is the right man to take us forward.

To be fair to Harry the whole cup-tied/ineligible/injury thing would be a mare for any manager. Judging him in the current run is harsh.

If anyone can have an effect on this club then HR can. Seeing closely what he did at Portsmouth he can get an under performing or past his best player performing for the club. Pompey were drifting towards the lower reaches before he took over and have had european football this season - doesnt happen over night though.

Not everyone may like his style but we have got to try and get some stability into Spurs both in management and playing staff.

Still reserving judgement! I know what my heart say's but feel we should reserve judegement - until the summer at least.

He has made some very important signings that will go a long way, if not almost guaranteeing our place in the EPL this year. For that we have to give creadit where credits due.

I also thing threads like this are pointless for the time being, as we all need to get fully behind the team at the moment and that includes Harry. Support and confidence breeds success.

Spurs have a great chance of beating Manure's kids next week and if so it means we're in europe again. So long as we stay up too, then Harry would have done alright. The question is then, would we still be happy with him as Manager?

on the "yes" side of the poll.

i may not be 100 percent happy with his tactics, line ups etc but after all its beyond my control who is in charge at white hart lane. suck it up boys and girls - hes done decent job after taking over from jr. the club was in mess, players didnt want to play for spurs and it was all going downhill quite fast. im not saying we are any better than we were 4 months ago but at least i can see "the liight at the end of a tunnel" (its a very smalll light thou).

so yes, im on "yes"

Tony Adams, Chris Hutchins, Avram Grant, Glenn Roeder, Gareth Southgate, Steve McLaren, Brian Kidd, Sammy Lee... need I go on?

Souness is that you?

I don't believe they are all worse. Brian Kidd, lee, southgate and Donkey probably are worse but can hardly boast as many chances as souness. Cant say I really know much about Hutchins record. If they go on to lead similar careers then fair enough but at this stage, I cant think of someone who has managed so many top teams and yet is so poor.

Chelsea lost 6 times in over 50 matches with Grant.

Part of me wishes we still had jol, and part of me even wishes we still have Ramos.

I want redkanpp to work (deep down because we cant change managers every year, its embarrasing), but i just dont see him being the man to bring us the success we all crave. He is the sort of manager that will bring us stability and can build a team that will finish 7th or 8th but in my opinion he just hasnt got that cutting edge, it just seems there is something missing at the moment.

Supporting spurs doesnt feel the same at the at the moment and im not sure why, maybe its redknapp and his motley crew, maybe its the players or maybe its just becuase we are even more shite than usual.

I like Harry, but I think there are simalarities with Jol. Particularly in the fans eyes, which has been demonstrated by some of the posts here. He's a generally likable guy. He wants to make the team great again. However, there is a general feeling that he doesnt have the knowledge/talent to do that.

There are alot of factors that all need to come together for an average team to become a great one. The right manager is just one of them. Our team has the talent, but at the moment they dont display it consistantly enough. However, if you look at those players, and imagine them playing for United, you'd have to say they'd probably do well.

In January, buying Palacios was an extremely good move as he has the desire and determination that the squad have clearly lacked at times this season. That was one thing I thought Harry got right this season. Overall, time will tell. I just wonder how much patients Levy and the fans will have if we dont start well next season. If Levy thinks Harry's the man then he needs to grow a pair and stick by him because neither Ramos nor Jol were given enough time.

Regarding this point, I know exactly what you mean. I think its because the team has changed around so much over the last couple of years. We've had no time to develop relationships with the players, because just as Levy hasn't had enough patients with the managers, the managers haven't had enough patients with the players. Plus as soon as one of our players starts playing well they bugger off to United!

How long is "give the bloke a chance" before we can question his tactics/team selections/decisions? The previous manager was rid of within a year even thoughwhe had won our first trophy in 9 years and got results against the big four, something we had not achieved in donkeys years. The one previous to that was rid of even though he got us two fifth place finishes. What makes you think the current one can have a never ending honeymoon period?

Like you I do go to the games and it's the same old story week in week out. It's almost a 60-40 split on this poll, just goes to show I'm not the only one who is seriously questioning the management!

Voted no, however I will support him while in charge. My main reasons are that I only see him as a short term appointment and id be surprised if he is with us this time next season.

I don't like most of his post match interviews, generally makes the same excuses, don't like the way he sets up the team, especially away we are very boring and dull, generally i just don't think he's the man for the job.

57 for : 43 against is a stronger swell of animosity than I expected. Last night seems to have been quite a big own goal (or the 3rd of his 9 lives).

Think Jol and Ramos learnt how important our European reputation is to us - poor European performances were of course the straw that finally broke the camel's back in both cases.

when he joined us I was very concerned as I didn't think he was the right man. After his early results I thought 'he is doing well - I was wrong about him' but now the record is looking as bad as ramos and I don't agree with a lot of his decisions. I voted no.

you've answered your own question really.. the previous two were got rid of sharpish as soon as it looked like going tits up and lets be honest, that hasnt helped a thing has it. Presumably you're advocating giving him the boot if come 10 games into next season we're in the bottom half. So it all starts again.
We have to stick with a manager , Jol only got three odd seasons as he managed to get us into europe in his first full year, ramos got us there but then did what Jol did and started the season badly so he got the boot. So now we're in the position of having sacked two managers who between them have beaten chelsea and arsenal, won a cup, got consecutively our two highest finishes in the premier league and into europe 3 years on the trot.
How about we try something a bit different and actually stick with the bloke in charge for a while

As far as I can make out the majority of posters on here who want rid of Redknapp do so because they either don't like the bloke personally or they've got their heads so far up their arses that they still think it's the 1960's and we have some right to be challenging for the league every season
