Thus far, he has been. He's been the worst footballer I've ever seen in a Spurs shirt. He has literally never had control of the football. He's not actually fast, every single thing he does is overpowered and inaccurate, he has put two shots out for throws, gives away a load of free kicks.

At least Lamela showed glimpses and some footballing talent when he wasn't performing at the start, Sissoko looks like he's never worn football boots before.
To be fair I agree with everything you just said, I was just trying not to be too negative. He certainly doesn't give you much hope from his performances so far, agreed

someone mentioned chadli - oh pls, just gtfo.

a more interesting name to mention would be mason. we never really played mason in the attacking mid, his favoured position in the academy, and he would've been invaluable this season given our attacking injuries and dips in form.

Although he's nothing special I think we all scratched our heads at Mason leaving and the nothingness that Is Tom Carroll remaining

Lets face it, SC wouldn't know a good player if we went around our grans house to found one licking marmite off her nipples while she was stuffing radishes up his bumhole.

Radishes are good for farmer Giles (digestive health), she knows her stuff your nan, also rich in rubidium (which has good anti-cancer qualities).

Got her number?

Nay.

So far, he's shown himself to be a handy option where he can fulfill a tactical role consisting of winning possession, supporting the fullback and play simple passes to maintain said possession. That can be useful enough in certain games (i.e. the Man City game), but when we're facing a low block (as we normally are every game), he's shown himself to be poor at dribbling, passing, crossing or being a genuine goal threat.

The scenarios where he's handy are few and far between, it seems, and adding one more attacking midfielder where one could actually expect goals and assists, would be a better use of our Limited funds.

I could see a role for him this weekend, though, where we could play Dier, Wimmer and Vertonghen in defence, and Walker and Sissoko as wing backs. Would actually like that better than leaving Dier and Wimmer alone without an adult present in the centre of the defence.

I have four words.

1. Vega
2. Ramon
3. Roman
4. Pavlyuchenko

Let there be no talk of worst Spurs players ever.

Harsh on Super Pav...better goals per minute ratio than Keane, Defoe or Crouch in 2009-10 and scored a worldy at 3-0 down when all seemed lost to Young Boys to kick start our run to the Champions League quarters.

It's been a less than ideal start for him, and it can't be easy coming in to a new club with a huge price tag, not match fit, to a team playing with no identity and little confidence.

Having said that, he looks appalling.

Would it be ridiculous to give a new player at least 6 months to prove himself before calling him a total pony? Particularly when said player is coming into a team that isnt playing well? No? Anyone?

completely agree and he's not even had a pre-season yet which is clearly very important to our team

My fundamental problem with Sissoko is that if he was playing like this at 18/19, I'd be able to cut him some slack. Look at Lamela when he first signed, yeah its taken 3 years to see great improvement, but he isn't even in his mid 20's yet, still has a solid 5-7 years playing at his best.

Sissoko however is playing this way with zero signs of improvement at 27 Years Old, say we give him time and he takes 2-3 years to produce his best stuff, he'll be turning 30, with significantly less resale and potentially blocking youth progress.

I do want him to succeed, but his woeful displays are worrying me greatly for a player hitting his "Peak Years"...

Lamela and Soldado were fucking wank when we signed them.
Lamela recovered with time, Soldado got worse.

We're only 12 games into the premier league season. Unlike the rest of the squad, Sissoko has been the only one man enough to publicly admit he personally hasn't performed. None of the others that have put in shit performances have had the balls to put their hands up.

I'll give him a season to prove he's not a flop.

What's really shocked me is how incredibly fucking slow he actually is.

I thought if nothing else we were at least signing a big fast bloke. But his size only seems to make him clumsy, and he looks about as fast as Michael Dawson from what we've seen so far.

I think hes showed glimpses of skill and what he can do, against city, when he came on at wembley against monaco and he did play a nice ball the other night when he came on but no i dont think hes good enough especially for that kind of money

That's the problem where do you play him what is his best position, he has no real pace or dribbling skills so can't really play wide.
During the euros he was playing centrally played ok because of the quality around him but again doesn't have the vision or skills it seems to pick a pass, it does appear that he is the wrong piece of this jigsaw.

Here what you are saying, although of course we aren't exactly in relegation form in fact challenging for the top spot. My problem is that at his previous club he was never more than someone who could be excellent on his day but those days were few and far between and he went missing on basics like application most of the time. That makes me nervous about any attmpt to give him a run of games when we have others who look better.

The bottom line is if the manager rates him then he would or will give him a long run in the team if fit.

TOTALLY AGREE! For that goal alone he should be excluded from this conversation.

I'm not so sure, I was a big fan of him but I think the injury he got against Sunderland set him back massively. He's been very poor for Hull so far by all accounts.
