Why can't we raise our games against the "lesser" teams?

How can we continue to progress in Europe and as a club if we're still suffering to beat teams that other sides use as cannon-fodder

And stop laughing when you miss a chance Crouch, it's not funny, dick.

Rant out

So are we allowed to question Harry's team selections now, or will we still be branded "Harry bashers"?

From SSN sounds like they battered us aswell.. can't complain with where we have come to as a club but next step surely has to be against these lesser teams also..we aren't scoring much anymore..

I argee with both posts.

It's unacceptable, we've blown fourth, we'll only get it back if others muck up, it's no longer in our hands and quite frankly we've thrown it away and let others control our fate.

I dont often bash Harry, he's been great since he came here, but today we looked so poor.

Blame it on Madrid, England or simply not being "up for it", we looked flat. Glimpses of play here and there but nothing solid.

I can't understand why we played with no width today and why on earth is Defoe starting!?!?! cause it sure as hell isn't down to form or workrate

Its a mentality thing again with the players (Club) we had the players to beat Wigan but you get the impression the players sole focus is on the CL Real Madrid....its like we have reverted to type and become a cup team.

Agreed, we are certainly making it hard for ouselves

Regarding Crouch laughing, I said the same thing to my old man, after another poor header right at the end of the game.

Glad I wasn't the only one annoyed by that.

Agreed, his tactics were piss poor and you could predict how it was going to end before the game even begun.

Its obvious that we needed a striker and for what ever reason that didnt materialise over two transfer windows.

But also, why the hell were we bidding for £10 odd million for a player (Adam) that wasnt needed when back up players with width and pace were.

It is obvious that our game is reliant on pace from wide areas. We just aint thought of that scenario. God how I would have prefered a 12 million bid for N'Zogbia rather than Adam.

That was the worst game of football I have seen for many years. No quality, no hunger, no pace, I would image our pass completion over the first hour was up with the worst it's been in the last 6 years.

Tactically poor. No width with 2 up front.....clever..... Yet we play 2 wingers when we have 1 in the box.... Negative correlation there.

I'll forgive not starting Lennon, maybe he wasn't able to play a full game with the injury, but Kranky, why leave it so late and bring him on after 85 mins :bang:

So frustrating seeing his treatment this season, not only a criminal lack of time off the bench for the whole season, but when he earned us points with two late goals and took his chance ( So I thought, guess not ), it still hasn't been enough to get him more time.

I would leave if I was him :-(

Watching Man U's performance and then watching our awful shit was painful. They also rested players for the Champions league but when they were 2-0 down, SAF brought on the right substitutions at the right time and they scored 4 goals in the second half. That's why they will win the league and we will come 5th. They also know how they are going to score, we seem clueless of how to beat a defense.

Really, really angry about these last 4 games. If we want to get 4th we'll have to beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City.

Being narrow is not always a problem. It's how teams often get the best of us. There was just no cutting edge or cohesion in the final third. No movement from the forwards. Poor final ball, lack of urgency etc. etc. Tactics weren't great but that wasn't the only problem.

For me the thing that annoyed most was Sandro and Jenas, both played ok but one man could have done their job.

Actually, looking at the table 4th isn't impossible. We still are only 3 points away from 4th. I wouldn't put money on it, but I don't think its yet definate that we've blown it.

8 games left and three are away to top 6 sides. One at home to Arsenal.

About 5 games ago we had a much easier run in than Man City on paper, but their last few games they've played Chelsea, Man United, etc, we've played bottom half teams, and we are still behind them in the table with our 'tough' games to come so I think it's probably gone, but you never know.

We are, practically speaking, 4 pts behind with our GD being so anaemic.

We could have still rested key players and played with width. Pienaar and Kranjcar should have both started with Modric and Sandro or Hudd in centre mid. Jenas is too slow on the ball, its as if he is clueless who to pass to. Modric and Sandro- per usual our two players who never screw up. Defoe is non existent, Crouch probably should have started with VDV.
