The lack of new defenders is concerning.

Does anyone really care in the board anymore?

I'm not sure about caring but I am very concerned that the board don't know HOW to do what we want. We seem to have made decisions badly time and again which have cost us. Not all but a lot.
People can always improve or develop if given enough time in my opinion but we have not seen that from the footballing side of things from this ownership for a long time.

Why is it whenever I see Skippy, I feel a need to give him a hug? Perhaps it’s the age I’m at. As there is something about him that makes you want to look after the lad. He just seems so much younger than the others. Not to mention, he does seem to suffer from resting startled face! 😲

Our pre season feels weird.

We are into training for a few weeks and basically haven't really played a lot meaningful games that could help Ange to make up his mind about the squad and give some players a chance to shine.

I know there is still a bit time but it feels like we should be a bit further by now.

The guy meeting & greeting seems a bit of a nobody.. players seemed quite ‘unbothered’ seeing him. Unless it’s just an obligatory social media thing ?
Always feels a bit awkward and makes for an uncomfortable watch for me.

Players have always had to prove themselves on the training ground. This year is no different.

Players have had plenty of time to impress, and undoubtedly some have, and some have not.

There are training champions and players who know how to perform in a match against an unknown opposition. Both is very important but its a difference in there.

With a new manager - he is not going to trust you to perform in a match, unless he sees you perform on the training ground. While there are exceptions - the universal rule is what you put into training, you get out of in matches.

Every player - save the injured ones, have had a chance to show the manager what they can do - if they chose not to step up in training while being observed - that probably is a player we don't want in the squad anyway.

Personally, I think we will get battered the first few games, I get and understand the training regime of fitness, but you also need to be brain sharp, our overseas money making adventure in close season has been good for business as always but, watching other friendly games this past week, these teams are playing top sides every 3 days, players you will face week in week out, until we work out how to manage preparation for the season ahead we will suffer. You struggle in the first 6 games of the opening season, your season is done. New players are needed in obvious positions, but nothing has been done. Until Levy understands the football ethics, not just business ethics of the game, we will carry on being long suffering.
8th at best this season.

This pre-season has been a shit show in terms of actually preparing a football team for a season in the hardest league in the world.

Absolutely horse shit pre season:

- Scott Munn not in post
- The Joe Lewis saga
- Played only 2 friendlies
- No centre backs brought in
- No player sales so a massively bloated squad
- The Kane saga taking all the headlines.......

and we are 2 weeks away from our first game of the season......

I genuinely feel sorry for Ange. We are 2 centre backs away from having a decent team. Problem we have is that our bald **** of a leader is still involved in the football side of things.
