Unless you think that individual referees are fixing matches and placing their own bets, without any help or prompting from anyone else, any accusation of "corruption" logically entails that there is some sort of conspiracy involved.

I believe that there is a level of biased behavior with individual officials and I also believe that the media has far too much influence on this league, sky in particular, when it comes to retrospective action and the way they highlight particular decisions and focus in on them whilst ignoring other issues.

I do believe in certain instances there is a possibility that particular referees have fixed matches without prompt or helping from anyone else.

I believe the main issue here is the pressure put on the officials from certain parts of the media and the association involved with the referees, PGMO in particular, for example http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/former-premier-league-referee-mark-8760242

I suppose Gary Neville must be a conspiracist for questioning if corruption exists as well.

No idea what's funny @tiger666 I just gave you words from a former referee that corruption exists in football. Do you not have an opinion on it? Or is it just the ref with sour grapes? (I admit that could be a possibility but it doesn't mean we should dismiss it entirely.)

I mean if we can believe no corruption exists just based on our gut feeling we can't ignore that it's a possibility based on our gut feeling either (or in this case, the word of a former ref of the PL.)
