Got to love the Arsenal fans getting giddy over 9 straight wins. I just checked who they played:

West Ham (15th)
Cardiff (20th)
Newcastle (19th)
Vorskla Poltava
Everton (11th)
Brentford
Watford (9th)
FK Qarabag
Fulham (17th)

Wow. Impressive.

It helps them build momentum though. I watched that Fulham game and they played some excellent attacking football. We on the other hand scraped a victory against Fulham.

Stats are brilliant ..

All conquering Liverpooil haven't won any of their last three games. I hope it becomes four.

Arsenal are obviously a rival and not just in the NLD sense but for top six spots they are certainly playing some decent football but at times they have got away with it at the back as they are too open, it's just that as yet not many of the sides are keeping them out and then not taking their chances against them.

We didn’t. Once we had control of that game we could have got 5 or 6 we missed some big chances.

I’m not convinced that’s the consensus, even though I agree we shouldn’t arrogantly dismiss them.

But whatever the consensus is, I do think we’re better than them, and also that we shouldn’t be thinking that 4th place is the best we can achieve.
We are a better team than them, but we are tired and hungover from the World Cup and they enjoyed a rest, full pre-season, signings and the boost of a new manager. As a result I don’t think anyone can deny they are in form and from that point of view there are for more of a threat to us this year than they have been at any point in at least the past four seasons.

I'm grateful for the 3 points - How many times have we sneaked a draw from a winning position ?

I agree but all I’m saying is in that game against Fulham, once it went 3 1 we could have got more goals. It wasn’t a scraping past a team, that was yesterday. We were much worse 24 hours ago.

Wait till they play a tottenham, liverpool, man city or chelsea, then we'll see what Arsenal are about this year.
If they collapse like a pack of cards we know its same old Arsenal.
If not...well lets not think of crossing that bridge.

Game probably finished.

At least we won, I'm just hoping Liverpool get rinsed by City later. I hate them more than anyone these days.

I know the list is poor but last season they would have fucked up in those easy games. Winning breeds confidence and theres are probably very high right now.
