Horrendous. Every single Southampton player was ball-watching, not looking at the United attackers running around them. Vestergaard gets too tight on Rashford when there was no need, and then two defenders try to both close down Rashford.

Once they got the one back the second was always coming. Not sure Saints have the ability to hold out on such a lead with so much of the game remaining. Like said in commentary they are also very open, it just wasn't exploited initially as United are still pretty shit.

Mclaren is actually a decent coach, not so good at tactics and in-game management by all accounts but he's always been regarded by many as a good coach on the training ground.

Yeah, McClaren just has to find his level, he's been promoted above his station a few times too many. He's got a QPR side that has no money and everyone tipped to really struggle safely in 11th in the Championship so he must do something right.

Hughes was good at Blackburn but seems another of those who the game has moved on from. He's stuck in 2008.

It’s quite amazing. I’m not sure how hes managed it. Makes me wonder how much Rui Faria did in terms of the coaching.
