I currently have a boner for Belgium national team and think they have some great players. I thought benteke was going to be a star based purely on his one game and goal against Holland and to be fair he's looked promising from what I can tell at Villa thus far for a young striker playing in a new league for a struggling side. Strong, calm with great finishing I think he'd have been a good signing for us to make considering we failed with any of our real targets (personally would have rather taken the gamble on him than play "safe" with Dempsey)

I think we were when Everton bought him we just didn't want to pay the 15 or 16 mil for him. There were afew EPL teams in for him if I recall but Moyes seen somethin in him and swooped in paying the asking price to close the deal quick. You know that's not Levys style closing deals quick.
