Hey guys,

Everyone going on about Cisse after one game are kinda jumping the gun a bit, especially after the calamity defending by Richard Dunne.

The goal was a great finish, but apart from the goal, he didn't do that much else, so lets see how good he is in a years time.

Gomes is a fantastic shot-stopper.
Neither of them command their area or deal effectively with crosses.

Certainly. The difference is that De Gea is 20 years old and has plenty of time to develop and learn the game more.

Unfortunatly for him he will find, like Gomes, that the Premiership is relentless and if you have a weakness then week in and week out the opposition will target it and that weakness can sometimes spread to other areas of your game.

Too true.
I certainly don't think he is a bad 'Keeper and certainly don't think he can't improve. I did, however, think in the Summer that they were taking a massive (£17 mill :eek:mg:) gamble on a Euro-Keeper, who could turn out, like many a Euro-Keeper before him, to really struggle in the cross-centric British game. And, like you say, once a weakness has been exposed oppo teams are relentless in seeking to exploit it.

Stoke lodge an appeal to the Football Association over Robert Huth's red card against Sunderland. Apparently flying into a tackle at 100mph isn't a red card unless you catch the opponent with your studs.
