I fear this is true and he's not coming. Personally I definitely wanted him as he's young, quick and has a decent goal scoring record. Clinton, Son and Kane are the future now.

I think this is a blessing now. In the past it's been reported he has had issues and he threw his dummy out of the pram once again this summer. I hope we find someone else. He just seems like a spoilt brat

Pulis needs to move on, we certainly have.
Bit of a silly thing to come out with though seeing as he'll be out of contract next season so he can go wherever he wants...

If he doesn't sign a new contract he will eventually be able to go where he wants so "never" is a daft thing to say and I suspect its the daily star that said it and not Pulis.

You should read up on those "issues". He's has a very tough time.

The guy is a talent and I hope we don't leave him floundering because it will reflect badly on us when we want to sign other players on deadline day.

Pulis has been very reasonable throughout. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's right. Levy needs to realise that being a hard ass negotiator doesn't do us any favours and has lost us 2 players at the top of Pochettino's list. If he's going to back the Manager he needs to sign the cheques.

Pulls said he does not believe Levy will try to sign him again. I think the head lines is a little off but it is the daily star.

Another thread contains criticism of us paying too much for Ade. Was that hard ass negotiation by Levy too? And if this player does have 'issues' it is surely sensible to be financially prudent. Just saying....

So he must be forever tainted by that? Recently Pullis has made statements to say he his a good professional and doesn't cause any trouble.

I think this could be right that Berahino may not be coming to Spurs, too much bad blood between the negotiators...it's become personal imo.

We could be in for Embolo instead

Pulis has been good throughout, like the guy. He's clearly been asked by the press and has been very reasonable

He said he didn't blame us at all, there was a lot said that he thought Berahino was going and was fine with it and was angry more with how he acted. Here he's basically saying WBA have fucked us off and I think he's right

Don't know what he was thinking when he signed Ade. The word 'Free' probably clouded his judgement since Ade has turned out to be probably our most expensive signing ever. I also think Berahino is way too expensive at 25m. My point is that Levy historically likes to try to bully his way to a deal. He has burnt a lot of bridges in the process and the new influx of TV money will make cheap signings very unlikely. If we want a player he needs to accept that the price is likely to be eye watering.

It's spun from the sky sports interview which if you watch Pulis is very respectful throughout and comes across very well. He implies that he thinks Levy won't come back after having so many bids rejected.. And he may well be right. I think Danny isn't going back unless it's to sign SB on a free as a big fuck you

Pulis is a gent and I think has integrity. This is the Daily Star trying to stir things up for paper sales. Besides, it doesn;t make sense to say Never. Personally, I think he's (Berahino) a bullet dodged.

Actually, Pulis is playing games here. He is putting pressure on Saido to sign a new contract by arguing you can't trust Spurs. I think he's also rinsed Saido in public since all this happened. Especially the immature comment. Fact is they let us talk to him and then accused us of unsettling him. He reacted as he should have done, saying effectively 'you played me to get a big fee and now I'm in limbo'.

The tweet was clever. He shouldn't have been fined for it. He said 'I will never play peace' we read 'I will never play for peace' whereas he could go back to the club and say he meant; 'I will never play peace at poker' and fat thumbs meant the whole quote wasn't posted ;-)

That said Pulis is between a rock and hard place, he has to integrate Saido and placate the fans and board and keep his reputation so I don't want to be hard on him. The real issue here is Peace. Why let a player talk if you didn't intend to agree a fee?

Can see Pulis walking next summer. Think he would have done this summer had he not already done that to Palace last year.

Get the impression that Pulis doesn't suffer fools gladly but thinks his boss is a complete knob in this instance.

Fair one. Good perspective too. I still think Pulls is a decent fellow.

As a little aside, despite all the bad blood and nastyness involved in the West Brom behaviour Tony Pulis has earned a fair bit of respect, not least from the Spurs fans.
