The reason for my question is simple. Let's say we do beat United this weekend (as much as i want it, i feel like we will draw). It will take us to 67 points after playing 35 games.

At that moment we would be 4 points behind Arsenal and played the same amount of games.

If City were to beat them they would go to 65 points after 35 games (still two points behind us with the same amount of games) and Arsenal staying on the same amount of points with us having a game in hand.

Technically what could happen here is we would have an opportunity get within a point of the Wenger babies and fight for 3rd, also giving us the chance to fight for two positions to get into the Champs League.

So should we be looking forward to a City draw, especially if we win this weekend? Or am i just get ahead of myself and wikkid form over the last two games?

a scum win that way no matter what our result against man utd we go into the last 3 games with the CL in our own hands.
as much as it'll hurt wanting them to win, its for the good of us and they did it recently when we played chelski so its something every fan has to do now and again

I'll be supporting the Scum (obviously not enthusiastically but I want them to win).

Thinking of third is wildly optimisic when you look at Arsenal's remaining fixtures.

When you consider that one of our remaining games is a very tricky tie away at United (one which I think we'll lose) we need the teams behind us to be dropping points if possible.

It's great that we're in a position that we can fleetingly think about third. But for a team that's never been in the Champions League, getting 4th is achievement enough and I think Arsenal winning gives us a better chance of that happening.

Our chance for 3rd is purely mathematical,
of course we want Arsenal to win against Manchester City.
It's by far the best outcome for the future of Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal all day long, City are our main rivals at the moment and if we beat Utd and Arsenal beat City then thats perfect!

I won't be supporting Arsenal, but I'd rather they beat City than any other result.

I doubt we'll get much from Old Trafford, but if we could go against history and win and Citeh lose... then I'll be sweating about beating Bolton at home. I can't see us being able to relax until the final whistle goes at Burnley and we've either cracked it or come up short.

No matter what our result against Utd Arsenal have to beat City. That way City can beat Villa next week and stop them (reall Villa need to be watched as they could well end the weekend on level points with us and City are their only losable fixture left)

It all boils down to us winning against Bolton and Burnley (no other result will do) and getting at the very least a point at City (a loss there and it doesn't matter what anyone else does).

Best case this weekend Spurs win at OT, Arsenal do City and Villa score a bore draw with Blues. That would put us on 67, Villa on 62 and City on 62. Reality says Spurs 64, Villa 64, City 62.
