I've felt pretty deflated since they won against Wigan who I hoped might grab at least a point, and the whole atmosphere around here also seems to be pretty downbeat as if we've already come 5th as we don't expect that mob to bottle it.
Usually I'm really on a knife edge but I'm kind of relaxed in a strange sort of way as I'm not expecting to get anything from Sunday, so with that in mind maybe, just maybe this year IS the year.

I tell myself, trying to be objective, that if they do win, they have been the better team. They deserve 4th. We lost it at wigan. Think we missed sandro more than a striker..

If we win by 16, and Chelsea lose, we can get 3rd!

Bookies odds to finish in top 4: Arse 4/11 Spurs 21/10. The bookies really believe in the Arse. So I guess if by some miracle things are going our way, both our lot and Newcastle will be served Lasagna at half time.

Actually come to think of it, those odds aren't so awful, considering that of the 9 possible combinations of results, 7 have them 4th, against only 2 for us.

Well the odds are against us.

Nobody (bar Andy Gray) thinks we will finish 4th.

Wigan upset the odds and so will we.

I copied this extract from Spooky's Blog on DML , give it a try. It sums up exactly how I am feeling.

"Whatever happens at the weekend I can only thank THFC for making me feel alive. Again. Even if the counter-productive consequence of following them is a further five years knocked off my life expectancy. Is this all a little too melancholy? Where's the the usual battle cry, you ask? No need for it. Not this time. The war will go on. Infinite sadness only for those that refuse to look ahead with confidence. Whatever happens happens. I'll still be Tottenham the morning after."

I must admit I find all this talk in the media about the so called 'play off' a bit condescending and presumptuous, it would serve them right if Newcastle and ourselves put a spanner in the works and it went down in history as "the play off that never was".

Just throwing this question out there: which game were you more confident about the result going our way. West Brom v Arse (Hodgeson's last game) or Newcastle v Arse?

west brom. And it would have done barring corruption.
I just drove through tripoli in Greece where fulop now plays for the mighty 'Blue and yellow galacticos' asteras tripoli
Had I realised at the time that he played there I might have done a dirty protest on his doorstep. .

Newcastle.

Unfortunately there was a lot less riding on last season's end of season matches, simply because most of us probably thought the chavs would lose to Bayern.

You do know they will now get injured or sent off! Thats how it goes when I bring someone into my team anyway.

Ha, always a risk I know but no way I could but an Arsenal players in in the hope of jinxing them. No Arsenal and always 3 Spurs is my rule. Couldn't bring myself to even pick Van Persie this season.

I dreamt the other night Spurs 3-0 Sunderland, and Newcastle 2-1 Arsenal - with the 2 Newcastle goals in the last 5 minutes. Never ever been more gutted to wake up and find it was just a dream (except that one time when i was boning Britney Spears when I was 15 of course)

I had that exact same dream!!

It's been 0-0 in every dream I've had and we've beaten Sunderland.

Just this once Spurs... let's be the lucky ones.

I bloody hate that the last day of the season always takes place on a Sunday. Why is that? It's annoying.
