As long as we don't fall behind with to an early goal, this in theory should not be the West Brom we tend to play against where they shut up shop and try to frustrate us by slowing down the game and wasting time. This should in theory suit us, we can't ignore their recent improvement in form and desire to scrap till the last so we will have to improve our own form and game from what we have seen in recent weeks.

What could also play into our hands is if Stoke win before we kick off and news starts to filter through the that Swansea have taken the lead in the last half an hour of our game because as much as they have been scrapping for their lives, it's bound to take the wind out of their sails to some extent.

I think it will be the West Brom of old.
Since their new manager has come in they have gone back to how they used to play and it has worked for them. So I expect them to keep it tight, frustrate and try to nick the points from a set piece or break away goal

Watched the Brighton game last night. Knockaert was decent, looked like lamela but with an extra yard of pace. Lewis dunk also looks like another emerging centreback

Funny thought during game would I rather have knockaert over Lamela. But think Lamela is a better footballer in connecting play. Knockaert can look impressive but runs up blind alleys a lot.

I think Dunk is a good player. Surprised he hasn’t made an England squad yet

Our inability to close out and lock up this CL spot is embarassing. *swallows last remnants of pride* Come on... Liverpool... *vomits*

If Chelsea win tomorrow...:cautious:

Home games against sides already safe (Newcastle and Leicester), surely we can't fuck this up?

We've dropped 5 points in the league at home in 2018. 3 of them have been to Man City, who have by far the best-performing team in the history in the league. Unless we drop 3 more in 2 games to mid-table teams, we're in the Champions League.

Chelsea draw or lose tomorrow and we win one of our last two and we're ok.

If Chelsea win I don't think we'll deal with the pressure and will miss out.

Why am I not overly fussed about top 4?

It’s worrying me! I know I should be, and I usually would be raging about todays nonsense, but I think I’ve just had enough of this season...similar to our players it seems!

Surely not even we can fuck it up, it would surpass all of the Spursy stuff we’ve seen in recent years if we did.

We don’t have the mentality to really compete for honours. If we do get top 4, it’ll just mean more inevitable fuck ups next season.

I actually think our best chance of silverware is the Europa, providing the likes of Atletico don’t drop in to it of course.

Poch's biggest mistake this season was not taking the domestic cups seriously enough from the onset.

It has permeated everything imo.

Has to be a Liverpool win tomorrow now. Can't trust us to do any sort of job

We need every helping hand to limp over the line

Every bloody time I see new posts in thread, I come to take a look it's some fooker still discussing the qualifying rules if Liverpool and Chelsea win the CL/EL.

How many times can one question be asked (and answered!) :ROFLMAO:

Anyway...

I think we'll drop points this weekend, and I also think Chelsea will beat Liverpool, making us a little nervous, but we'll get the job done against Newcastle and Leicester and secure third.
You could be spot on here pal.
