At the start of November I would've said 10 points at least now honestly I'm thinking 4 or 5 with how we're playing

Not this time we won'tI feel it's worth pointing out that around this time last year we only managed 10 points from 8 games (we have 13 in our last 8) and were 5th and we ended up as the only challenger to the eventual champions. We usually start to hit beast mode in mid December and carry it through for most of the season under Poch.
Watch the city Huddersfield game from yesterday. Huddersfield scored first and parked the bus, and defending was great. But city moved the ball so quickly you just knew they would break them down, 80% possession and at one point they had 257 passes and Huddersfield had 16! We don’t have the players who move and pass as quick as them, at least not consistently.
the points we've dropped have all been because we were poor, nothing to do with luck whatsoever. there's nothing "fine" about these margins at all.
If we at some point find ourself trailing 4th by to much i really hope we end up 7th or so to miss the EL.
With our very strong first 11, no Europe and the new stadium boost we should be able to mount a real challenge next year.
Having said that i really do hope we sneak 4th obviously. Just not the end of the world

Hey guys, I'm just gonna make a joke about how this thread should be closed/moved now! Can't believe I'm the first one to think of this lol
please tell me that you ended this with a "lol" as you were joking about the highlighted? there has been request to close/change this thread for about 30 of the 43 pages which you might of not read
Your right no one knows what will happen but what has a ref giving us a pen got to do with our shit form, and I hope we make top four but I think it's unlikely does that sound better.I hope we manage top 4, because finishing 7th or 8th what might be needed to stay out of Europe would most probably see 2 or 3 players leaving
have you by any chance got tonight's winning Lotto numbers and be willing to share them?
no one knows what will happen, we have a team that can win (though struggling without Toby and Wanyama) it's just a case of hoping the silly missed chances turnaround or a ref gives us a fucking penalty.

If Poch can find a solution in beating teams that park the bus, then I'll be confident enough to say that we will be in the top three at the end of the season. Catching up with City may be almost impossible as I don't see them dropping many more points this season.

It's definitely a combo of things but ultimately we are not as exciting or as a force as last year, for various reasons we have tailed off a bit and do not look the same side.Just saying if a ref does his job properly then providing we bury it means the teams parking have to come out.
That’s the difference this season compared to last we got goals early enough that due to the bus being moved to has opened teams up and we had some good wins. This season those chances have not been converted, even if we have actually scored 3 more goals after 14 matches this season compared to last season.

Our away record last year was probably better yes although not against the big sides as we know how shit we are in that regard, but there is certainly something not right perhaps the energy within the side looks lost.that's because teams we played last season have got it right this year compared to last year. Yes Wembley most probably a big factor, but until our last 3 away games we had a better away record for the period. plus the injuries we have suffered, trying to get new players settled. we really have missed that bite Wanyama gave us in the middle.
I myself have felt for a few games that City will walk away with the league, but until the Arse game I also felt that we would finish 2nd or 3rd. now we have a fight on our hands for top 4, which with injuries lack of form most prob in Eriksens case tired and needs a rest, we are going to have to scrap more, unless we can nick an early goal.

As I have said previously apart from a couple of games I haven't enjoyed watching us this season I find it a bit boring watching the ball passed about with nothing to really show.
