Obviously a defining week for Pochettino and our team.
It’s two ‘home’ games against Newcastle and Leicester. Two teams we should beat. Two teams who have nothing to play for.
Two teams we have history with.
Newcastle, the scene of Pochettino’s biggest humiliation and Leicester, who won the league when it should really have been us.
The manager and players must surely be fired up for this. They must give everything to win these games. COYS

Not sure where else to put this, but fuck knows what Spurs are thinking not putting tickets for the Leicester match on sale to members until Saturday (yes, the Saturday which happens to land one day before the fucking match).

So we're going to have a half-empty stadium on Wednesday because it's an evening game against a mid-table team, and we're going to have a half-empty stadium on Sunday because we're not selling tickets to members with enough time. Two games which are turning out to be our biggest this season, and the atmosphere is going to be awful in both.

What a fucking joke our club is at times.

I bought tickets for the Leicester game about a month ago?

Also are the likes of Vardy or Mahrez going to put their World Cup selections in jeopardy by going all out, and risking pinging a hammy in a meaningless game for them?
Mahrez isn't going to the world cup
Not really. That was only our second loss since 2008. Usually we win or draw. Mainly draw of late.
Drawing against West brom is struggling, we shouldn't be dropping points against them

That's weird, on there now it say that it will go on sale to members on 12th May.

Unless it has sold out and that's when they are opening the resale platform? Either way it seems a bit odd.

They really look half arsed, and have done for a long time. Jan seems the only one consistently showing ability and desire in the last 5 or 6 weeks.

interestingly the other time we had this cant be arsed slump was 15/16 season when it just so happened there was a major int tournament in the summer too.

Obviously I want us to do it, and do it in style and come 3rd. But I’m actually now interested to see what happens as I think it tells us everything we need to know as to where things are at. To lose a 10 pt lead and better GD with 6 games to go. Would unquestionably be the biggest bottle job in history of PL. imagine if that gap was for a title it’s unthinkable.

We've had these kinds of games all season. We've been pretty patchy all year.

Newcastle say hello

but for Spurs 100%, its not as bad on paper as our remaining games were more difficult than Chelsea's, especially the way the Liverpool game turned out after a CL semi. But its still utterly embarassing if they catch us.

That said, i dont think they will. We'll win tomorrow and draw with Leicester

Hate the term 'bottle job' but certainly losing a 10pt lead would be pretty devastating and undermine a great deal of amazing work by the club over the past few years. I would only caveat with a few points:

1. We had a 10 point margin before playing City. Whilst we were at 'home' - not many people would have expected much more than a draw from that fixture and were unsurprised that we lost. City have been streets ahead of everyone this year.
2. Our failure to secure 3 points at Brighton should be seen in context - this is a side that were actually putting in some top performances at the AMEX - indeed, since our match, they have taken all 3 points against Utd. We were poor that night but it would be churlish to ignore how impressive Brighton were.
3. CFC have really sorted themselves out with a number of battling performances. Sometimes it is important to take a wider perspective and tip your hat to some very impressive results. They were champions a season ago with pretty much the same group of players and in Giroud have pulled off a masterstroke of a signing; scarcely few if any better plan B's in this league. Their ability to win games where you'd expect them on previous form to have drawn/lost has seen them gain ground.

The above might sound like excuses but they perhaps paint a more nuanced picture. That said, that shocking display against a surprisingly tame WBA on Saturday (considering their situation and purple patch) was inexcusable. It was all the worse considering how it appeared that some order had been restored after the Watford win. Clearly the time for second chances has now disappeared, and the failure of the players not to secure at least 4 points from the two remaining home fixtures would be utterly appalling. Some serious questions about our manager would surely have to be raised.

It is amazing how quickly things can change. It doesn’t even feel like we’ve been on a disastrous run, poor yes but not disastrous and yet they’ve made up 8 pts in 4 games. Have to keep going over it to work out how.

Absolutely bricking it really not confident that we can get the required points in these remaining games, we have been shocking of late and the Watford result completely flattered us, they should've been out of sight at half time.

Just have to hope that Toon and Leicester players are 'less up for it' than ours.

With Southampton playing Man City on the final day of the season, a point for Huddersfield against Chelsea could be absolutely priceless.

Hopefully a draw tonight between Swansea and Southampton, or even a Swansea win would give Huddersfield the push they need to do it at Chelsea.

They managed to take a point from the best team in the country...but you know how this usually goes when Spurs need another team to do them a favour :banghead:

No problem, we don't need them to do us a favour it would just be nice if they did.
