The result tonight will likely determined which race we will be in (PL).

If Liverpool wins, the 9point gap (and superior GD) will be very difficult for us to close in as it would only make them stronger and more confident. Then we would likely only be in the race for top four.

If City wins, the gap is down to six. Liverpool has had a few draws this season but has yet to lose in the league. With a loss tonight, who knows, but it might give them a wobble , hopefully leading to more dropped points in their upcoming matches as the pressure on them from City and, to a lesser extent, us, would still be there. We would also be still in the title race as I think that city will drop more points further down the road.

There’s no major difference whether we finish 2nd or 3rd as both positions would not give us a title but will still qualify us for next season’s CL.

So, come on City! Smash the Scousers tonight.

So according to the BBC Breakfast if Liverpool win tonight then they will go 10 points clear in the title chase !!
Liverpool
20 40 54
Tottenham
21 25 48
Man City
20 38 47

Mathematics not their strongest point or just obsessed with the other two?

More than likely stating they'll be 10 clear of City in the title chase, which is true.

No chance, I think he's been given a pass this season where he can do what he wants and no one in the media or governing bodies will talk about it negatively. He'll probably get a Nobel Peace Prize or something. Meanwhile Kane gets booked for actually getting kicked!

You recall last season the dogs abuse kane was getting from. Rawk and pool fans, in general when actually getting fouled and getting decisions....[/QUOTE]
It's not just Liverpool fans though.
He 100% dived twice in 2 games. He should be getting hung out to dry in every quarter of the media right now but it's radio silence.
Dele hasn't dived or acted childishly for 2 seasons but still has that thrown at him all the time.

Have a feeling they will crush city tbh... by 2 at least

Think they will go on to win it - which is fine for me, if their fanbase would be a bit more down to earth

Yes but its the dismissive nature of us that rankles with me.
They're building up a match between them (and couldn't say top two), so I wouldn't get too wound up about it. The commentary line building it up during the Newcastle v United game, however, is a different matter.

If that was what they said I'd agree but it's not what they said, they might have meant to say that but they didn't. We really have messed up the symetry of the situation.:)

I take it you never watched the Huddersfield and Liverpool away fixtures last season:cautious:

Liverpool actually have a shocking away record at top 6. Just 1 win since September 2016 and that was Wembley which is basically neutral. City could be massively over priced.

Did he go down after someone's touched his arm? Did he subsequently receive no negative media attention at all?

Wasn't sure who I wanted to win this, now it's started fully behind city, unless City beat them I can't see how they won't win the league, hopefuly if City smash them the wheels will come off
