Oh I don't disagree but I think one of the reasons we have struggled defensively is that we have been so blunt offensively which mean teams are much more willing to get at us. Dele at his best is unpredictable and that bit of magic is what will keep teams back. At least that's what I hope :)

I certainly don’t doubt Dele’s importance to us. He was playing so well too around Xmas when he got the first hamstring injury.

Massive result for us that really puts Chelsea on back foot. 4 pts and + 8 goal diff. They will also likely go all way to Europa final. Also still have to go to Liverpool United Leicester. While we have the 5 winnable home games. Add in United form dropping off a bit and the Stadium ready and it feels a bit rosier ?

It's a good result. A bonus. But for me we've got to finish above one of arse or United for top 4 so doesn't change what we need to do - improve and quickly. hi

Robertson pulling out of the Scotland squad due to a dentist appointment!

In a few years maybe one of us gets called up to our NT the way players/managers downgrade it ?

Can't do quickly I'm afraid how about two weeks or so? A couple of weeks ago Chelsea had three games in hand and people on here thought they could win them all and overtake us, just goes to show there's still a way to go yet and pretty much anything can happen.

He'll be getting one of those nuclear white scouse grilles fitted then.

What a fucking pisstake. stones and Delphi out of the England squad too. But us softies don't pull anyone out. I'm sick of it.

Yes, I thought Arsenal beating Man Utd was the worst result for us taking everything into account. I strongly fancy Chelsea to win the EL and qualify that way. Really need some slip ups from the other 2 I feel. Wouldn't be a surprise to see Utd beat City in their league match given City's run of games in April.

Has the fact that our called up players are in need of playing time (Dele, Kane, Dier) or finding form (Rose, Trippier) escaped you?

Don't think it'll be a bother with our lads (hopefully no injuries, mind). 3 weeks is way too long for them to have off at this time of the season without any competitive action. I'd be even less confident going in to the Liverpool game if they hadn't played any minutes in that long.

Also we now have 6 days between Brighton and City (CL at H) which is gravy.

If that hasn't then the fact that in the past Trippier, Rose, Dele, Kane, Dier and god knows who else have previously pulled out of squads has. But he's 'sick' of it :p

It’s the opposite, they’ve played too much football in the last 2 years. They’ve played too much and every single one of them had no preseason. Its the conditioning then, that’s most important now. Or did that escape you?

Does it matter? If they’d been run into the ground this season and needed a rest (which there is a case to be made for some of them), would they be pulled out?

As far as I can tell we’ve only pulled players due to genuine injury.

Mind you we’ve got our own problems with managing players’ fitness over a season, before you even get to International call ups.

God knows, I’m not going to get angry about a situation that hasn’t even occurred mate.
