And we’ve probably lost sissoko and might have to play a not match fit Dier if he’s recovered from his injury. I can’t see Wanyama being able to play a third game in a week. Hopefully winksy is back, if not it could be Dele and Skipp in central midfield.
I think we might be reaching the stage of playing someone out of position eg Rose, Davies, Foyth, Alderweireld in midfield role

Seems like a lot of the analysis for Saturday's game hinges on who will be fit/available for us.

Tbh, I think we have the mental edge going into this game and if we can field a half-decent XI, then we have every chance of getting a result.

We have 6 games in 20 days, given our problems at the minute I'd be taking a free hit this weekend.

Ignoring last nights game (as difficult as it maybe), I think most us felt that the city game in the PL is a "free hit" kind of game and that losing it may not be the end of the world given the fixtures we have left to play. I think we will freshen up the team massively for saturday with the likes of Llorente, sanchez, KWP, Davies, hopefully winks & Lamela , maybe dier / skip all to start the game. Obviously would like some sort of positive result but i don't believe it will make a huge dent in our top4 hopes if we lose.

We could play our strongest XI and still lose, with Chelsea and Arsenal both at home I think we'll have to beat Brighton on Tuesday to get back into the top four.

Ideally I'd probably rest as many players as we can who are vital for the Brighton game, but our options are slim.

Sanchez, Davies, Foyth, Walker-Peters and Skipp could all start. Moura and Dele haven't played as much as others recently so presumably they start as well. I don't think we can afford to rest Vertonghen and Alderweireld but perhaps they can share the load between them. Son is vital to us now, so I'd rest him - though he'll probably be on the bench at least. Llorente will either have to start and come off or make an impact off the bench again. I can't see Wanyama playing 4 full games in 10 days. We could really do with Lamela being available.

Assuming Sissoko, Winks, Aurier, Dier are all out then our options are pretty slim all over. I'd love to completely rest Eriksen and Son but I don't really see how we can.

Note the Ajax dates are now confirmed on OS. Are we seriously still playing Bournemouth on the Monday, with the return leg 48 hours later? Looks around for John Travolta meme......

Even if we don't get top 4 hopefully this CL run will somewhat mitigate the negative impact it would have. We've already earned almost £30 million from the 3 knockout rounds (plus gate receipts) and last night's game will be the talk of the footballing world. The new stadium is incredible and there's a really good feeling around the club. One season outside of the CL wouldn't be an utter disaster.

Obviously not qualifying would be a disappointment but imagine how much worse it would feel if we'd also flopped out in the CL group stages like we so nearly did.

No, that game will be moved to 12:30 on the Saturday now which is a result as it means we play before the others rather than face the added pressure of playing last under the lights at the Vitality. Come on Spurs. get top four sewn up and win this CL

The only thing with this is that City are slated to play 12.30 that day, will they just swap the fixtures?

Can they even move our fixture?

From official site;
Here are the ticket details for our Premier League trip to Bournemouth, currently scheduled for Monday 6 May, 8pm.
Please note, this match is subject to further change pending our participation in the UEFA Champions League. Any updates will be communicated in due course.

Arsenal can get a maximum of 15 points - total 81 (but could drop 2-6 points away to Wolves and Leicester)
Chelsea can get a maximum of 12 points - total 78 (but could drop 2-6 points away to Man Utd and Leicester)

So we need to get 12 from 15 to be 100% certain of 4th, possibly 11 if we maintain our GD advantage.

If we get a bit of help from our rivals away fixtures then we may only need 3 more wins, but I'd rather not be relying on others for the sake of my blood pressure. Hopefully, extended Europa League participation will finally start to effect them the way it used to hurt us - although I've not seen much evidence of it so far this season.

It’s why arsenal winning at Watford was such a pain in the arse. Had they dropped points there then it would be so much more relaxing for us.

injuries to midfielders are killing us at the moment. Hardly surprising that MS injured a groin muscle after all his efforts this season. It will be a real shame if we miss out because of these injuries , but at the moment that looks more than likely to me.

Absolutely, don't worry, I'm delighted. I just don't want us to end up with nothing from a season where we have given so much and these constant injuries are just so unlucky and going to make life very hard for those last 5 league games in particular. We never get the credit we deserve for coping. I mean it was clearly a desperate measure to play Victor for a second full 90 minutes last night. He was really just jogging around for the last 30 minutes. Even having Lamela available would have been something, but he gets injured in the warm up. Our rivals, not only don't have the injuries but have the luxury of roatation to prevent them

Why are people talking like they expect us not to make top four.

We're favourites imo, and last night even more so.

Don't underestimate the massive psychological boost that will have given the whole squad and coaching staff.

It's fucking huge. Iconic and monumental moment for us.

We've arrived now for sure, so timely with the new stadium as well.

It's beautiful.
