We'll have earned a hell of a lot more than that. Sponsors will want to be linked with us now more than ever.
I think it was Swiss Ramble that said it was 84 ish million but would rise to 107 if we made the final

Anyway, the exposure is amazing and perfectly timed for trying to squeeze the absolute maximum from any naming rights deals and anything else we can find.

I think a couple of marquee signings would help to sell that too, going into next season. Zaha for one. Many of the European players we've been linked with sure.

I obviously can't help but think of Bale here. Super expensive wages (would he take a big signing on fee and 250k a week ?) but perhaps a knock-down transfer fee as a result as Madrid know that virtually nobody can afford his contract. If it got a mega long-term naming rights deal over the line (10 years at £25m per season?) then it might be worth it, regardless of his injury record and actual input into winning matches

We also need to prove ourselves to Poch of course !

"DCL and Richarlison out of the game against Spurs. Coleman is a doubt.

Operation stop Liverpool is ON. "

Getting Bale back would be the most non-sensical, heart over head, anti-Poch, anti-Levy move ever. If he wasn't ex-Spurs the very notion would be an utter joke...and tbh after the season he's had it should be a joke anyway. Other than his links to the club he ticks every box for what we don't want:

- Old
- Egotistical
- Expensive
- Injury prone
- Lazy

The only way it would make any sense whatsoever would be if we got him on loan and Madrid paid 3/4 of his wages, but even that probably wouldn't be worth it for the damage it would do to the dressing room dynamic and the opportunity cost (we could be using the money and time so much better).

Bale will be turning 30, his dream move is turning into a nightmare to be honest. I can't see who will be wanting to take him with his wage expectations and injury record. It looks like he is intent on staying in Madrid and cashing in his cheques.

Hmm we know all of this but just saying he is still box office gold and could make a huge difference to getting a big deal over the line

Just out of interest, how does us reaching the final affect our UEFA ranking?

Considering we squeezed in to pot 2 this season, I can imagine we're safely guaranteed pot 2 next season. Will be annoying that one of Chelsea or Arsenal are guaranteed pot 1. That's a fucking joke IMO.

No I don't think we are, we need a few teams to miss out on CL to make pot 2, I believe it's Sevilla and Roma. And we need Benfica to not win the Portuguese league as they are below is in coefficient.
I read an article on it last week.

In that case that's fucking shit that we get to a CL final and could potentially be in a lower pot next season.

Thanks for the info.

Today's the day where we mathematically confirm our finish above Arsenal in the league. I can't wait for 5pm.

As it stands we are joint 17th with Man Utd who don’t matter as they are not in it next season. We need one of the top 16 not to be in it next season.
Chelsea winning europa takes arsenal out.
Seville are in the top 16 but are currently 6th in la liga. 2 games left. 3 points behind Getafe in 4th. If they lose today away at Athletico Madrid , Getafe would need a point from two games to keep ahead. Also Valencia are fifth who could get into 4th.
Fair chance we will make pot 2 if we don’t win the final.
This applies to the 5 year co efficient which dictates the pots.
