Come on, Mourinho- take the three points, piss the scousers off and prolong your turgid tenureship at that shitty club for a few more months

That Southampton coach has got them set up very well. You can see that he's got some very good ideas, he just needs a bit of time to drill the defensive unit. The first Gooners goal was from a bit of an overload down the Saints left but the defenders were all a bit flat-footed. Its something that can be fixed very easily. The second Gooners goal was just rank poor play for Romeu. The counter play from Southampton was so brisk, players not having to think too much, just simple play. Love it. Arsenal's defenders are still so, so poor and the midfield cover just isn't there. Everyone is so switched on to the offensive transition that they just don't react with either a counter-press or a consolidation. I just cannot work out what they're being instructed to do when they lose the ball.

Good to see the Gooners luck run out at long last. We're 5 points ahead and they've had a tough match today and down to the bare bones in defence which should make it a bit easier on Wednesday. Should be able to pull away from them with our set of fixtures coming up and start looking up rather down.

Hang on, we're also down to bare bones in defence.

Chelsea were hanging on at the end there. Alonso very lucky not to be red carded for taking out an attacker as the last man in defence. Arsenal also showing their defensive frailties. Neither of our London rivals for top 4 have suffered the debilitating injuries across the squad like we have. Chels so reliant on Hazard, it beggars belief sometimes.

Said it for a while, we're just built on more solid foundations as a squad/team than Arse/Chels, and it will most likely show over the course of the season.

We've weathered wholesale injury crises, the Wembley factor, the Summer transfer window that never happened...yet, we've constantly ground out results; playing to the last minute of every game, by making the absolute most of our squad resources and the character within our team.

Can't praise Poch enough for putting us in that position.

BBC reckon Alisson has made as many errors leading to goals this season as Mignolet did last...

Well I guess as far as the race for the top four is concerned the Liverpool United result is a good one, United, if they were able to catch us most certainly aren't now so just one more side to shake off and we will be safe for the top four.
That said it's a bloody shame as I'd have liked to have stated closing the gap at the top, still I suppose there's plenty of time to go.

City and Liverpool are on their own this season we are one of three for the other top four slots it's no bad thing but more a realistic one.

The stars reallly are aligning for Liverpool this season. From getting away with a certain penalty against us in injury time which would have got us a draw, to the last minute fluke winner against Everton, City missing a penalty against them in the last few minutes at Anfield, Sturridges last minute equaliser against Chelsea, to two deflected goals against United to give them the win. I know there’s been plenty more. The last time I saw a side have this much luck was when Leicester won the league.

It’s quite amazing really. Can’t stand the ****s.

The thing is these are overlooked because Liverscum are a better team than last season to compensate for those mistakes. Last season mistakes proved costly.

He is still shit. Liver**** fans are very precious about him and Salad boy

We have decent run of games. Admittedly we have no players either, but, after the cup game it's plain sailing for a while.

I think we are short of a title challenge but we are in the mix. If we can continue our good run we can extend the gap on the scum.

UTD were never in the hunt for the top 4 anyway in my opinion. You just don't make up 10 pts in this league. The top 4 are just too good and don't drop many points.
