I think getting a result on Wed may give us the best energy boost to see us through. We've been fighting the odds all season re no home ground, injuries, no signings, and we just keep ploughing on.... Sissoko, Son, Moura are stepping up, the new stadium bounce is clear. Think we get top 4 either way, but CL progress would be great!

Get through to the CLSF and then force a draw at the weekend. That'll be one of the best weeks we'll have.

Who cares about top four when we go on to win the CL...

Imagine if we finished 5th and got to the final of the CL.
That would be more than two weeks worth of edge of the seat stuff.

I wonder how anpoll would go if you could only have one.
Win the CL
Finish top 4

The game is about glory for me.

Wednesday has to come first tho. Really hoping we can get a goal and a result up there.

Not really, losing the CL final and finishing 5th doesn't get you fuck all.
Yep, a really interesting question would be more like:

Would you take a CL final against Barcelona [let's use the most difficult opponent left available for the question] where the result is not yet known and could go either way, plus a guaranteed 5th place finish in the league; OR would you take going out of the CL before the final, but a guaranteed 4th place finish in the league?

I would definitely take the CL final with a chance of failure on both counts over the certain CL qualification but certainty of no CL win in that hypothetical scenario.

Yeah that's better.
There are obvious pros and cons to both scenarios.
If forced I would probably go for the guaranteed CL, but the lure of CL glory is very tempting.

Damn you Scat...I prefer the stupid, badly thought-out no brainer polls.

I’d put the probability of winning that final against Barca at 20%. There would therefore be an 80% chance we lost the final and therefore that we had no chance of winning the CL next season and a reduced chance of qualifying the season after because attracting good players would become harder.

I would pitch in with the conservative progress that we have shown consistently under Pochs reign.

I would reject both for our current situation. Which is that we have an outside chance of reaching CL SF and a very good chance of finishing 3rd

Haha. Well yeah!
Was thinking if there wasn't the guaranteed place in next years comp for winning.
It isn't actually possible as you rightly point out but Thought it would be interesting to see if people would prefer CL next year or to win it this year and not be in next.
Guess it's trophy vs money. Club would say be in next year. For me i'd like the open top bus parade :)
All hypothetical

This result works in our favour, sure the dippers have an easy run from here but that's not our problem. I'd still hate to see them win it though, having been behind us over the last 7 plus years.

We just need Watford to come to the party tomorrow.

Remember, no matter how much they claim it’s a massive achievement, Leicester fucking City did it a couple of years ago. Wow

;)

If Arsenal fail to win tomorrow, Arsenal and Chelsea can't catch us and Utd can only match our points tally if we were to win four of our last five.
