I think the pressure of our collapse in the league since Burnley has gotten to the players. With the pressure off, at home, to an Everton that isn’t great away and has nothing to play for now Wolves have that final Europa League spot, we’ll play with more freedom and probably take something from the game. There is no way we lose out on GD. I would actually put my house on it. Arsenal will have a final against Chelsea to worry about, Emery won’t be risking players on the off chance they can overturn the GD.

Agree but if we get knocked out of the cl it could hurt them. Win they will have an eye on the cl final even if it is 3 weeks off. Be happy with a draw against everton.

Is it just me, or has this season for us been so absolutely, insanely, mind-bogglingly dramatic that it honestly feels like 2-3 years worth of football rolled into one? Many great pictures in that thread, and the early season ones feel like years ago. Maybe partly why it feels like we've been so rubbish - the first half of the season where we did really well seems like a long time ago!

And hopefully we've still got four weeks to go...

I know this is the race for top 4, but I think Brighton have helped us in the CL. Got to think the players are going to have less pressure on them than if the gooners won

We’re not getting knocked out of the CL. I’d put my house and 2 children on that too.

I honestly would set up super conservative, not full on brexiteer, against Everton and try to slow the game down. Hopefully it will turn into one of those nothing to play for everybody on the beach end of season games. The last thing we want is to concede early and have it become competitive and nervy.

Time wasting and possession for possession's sake is the order of the day. Normally the fans wouldnt have it and the groans would start, but as we only need a draw and will have a cl final against barca to look forward to, I reckon the natives will happily settle for a nice, comfy bore draw!

Maybe not the right forum but while we’re talking CL - what if Chelsea finish 3rd/4th this gaining CL via the league- and then they win the EL cup earning the CL spot. Please tell me the EL cup spot doesn’t default to the EL runners up?!?!

I mean I don't want to sound pessimistic or anything, after all nothing we've seen lately would push one to pessimism, eh, right...but, just theoretically, you know if a team gets 5 red cards, the match is ended. What is the official score? As it stood? Not suggesting anything, purely theoretical, right....:)
